About Murray
We are a travel company registered in Mongolia in 1995, so in business for 27 years at the time of writing. In addition to travel services we operate a guesthouse, cafe and bakery in the central Mongolian province of Arkhangai. We cannot, and do not try to compete on price with individual owner drivers, but rather offer experienced and qualified drivers and guides, backed up by a management team to provide full support to our clients. Our commitment is to ethical and sustainable tourism, and ensure that all our drivers and guides, nomadic families and others we engage with are appropriately and reliably compensated. Uniquely located in the countryside of Mongolia, our local guides offer first hand experience of their lives, culture and lifestyle rather than a 'learned' knowledge from city-based university studies. Arkhangai Horse Trek And Nomadic Cultural Immersion
Starts in Ulaanbaatar, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
This 8 day tour, beginning and ending in Ulaanbaatar and accompanied by an English-speaking guide, will give you experience and insight into the ancient culture and lifestyle of the nomadic herder families. Visit 'the Little Gobi' and Erdenezuu Monastery enroute to Arkhangai, then after getting your fill of western food, barista coffee and free wifi in a comfortable guesthouse, head out on horseback for 4 days / 3 nights staying with nomadic herder families each night while exploring the stunning Khangai mountain foothills, and the Tamir River valleys of Arkhangai Province. Return to the comforts of the guesthouse in town, and during a restful day visit the Tsenkher Hot Springs to soak out any aches and pains from your horseback adventures. Return to Ulaanbaatar via Ugii Nuur (Lake), and the Khar Bukh Balgas Ruins near Dashinchillen, dating back to around 700-800 AD.

My stay was wonderful! I had great time going on a horse trek in the area with a local guide. Despite a massive storm and power outage during my stay, the people there made my stay quite comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is travelling in Central Mongolia, or anyone who is only in the country for a short time.
