Muugii.

Had an absolutely wonderful time in Mongolia. Thank you to Muugii, Chantsa and Pujee.

This was our second tour arranged with Muugii, the first was great but the second was given to a third party. We booked Muugii because she had a large SUV car and we knew the tours were long. The third party guide turns up in a 20 year old small Honda, the comfort factor for 5 hour journey in each direction was less than zero. The guide himself was great but this doesn’t make up for the discomfort of such a tedious journey. I think if a guide is passing clients to a third party then they should offer like for like on the transport. I would never have booked this tour in this transport. I am very disappointed but I believe my review is fair and honest.

Our short tour to Khustai and Terelj National Park was a nice trip to experience Mongolia. Galmandakh was very patient and answered promptly many questions so I could put together a trip which pleased us most. This took quite a while as I had many questions and he did not always exactly answer all of of them… Tara, our guide looked well after us. When we realised that her itinerary didn’t fully match with the one we had agreed and paid for (eg. visit of a family in a ger), she was flexible and adjusted her programme. When I fell ill, she cared a lot and did everything to improve the situation. Her English is not at a high level but she is able to give the required information. She knows a lot about Buddhism and everyday life in Mongolia. However, when it came to other topics like e.g. Khustai NP, the information was rather scarce and we felt forced to ask. We slept and mostly ate at the ger camps. Both camps were nicely located with a good restaurant and even a souvenir shop. The driver was experienced and reliable. The day after the trip he picked us up at the hotel on time and brought us to the airport for a cheap price. Our tour was subcontracted out to another company so it wasn`t necessarily true to the spirit of Indy Guide. We had a very nice time in the Gobi but since it wasn`t with Galmndakh directly, I don`t feel I can fairly give a review.

We met Galmandakh in March 2017. He`s a nice and reliable person.

Muugii and Mottu were great! The tour in itself was beautiful, and we`re glad we had the chance to experience the Gobi just outside the main tourist season.
