Hello everyone!
My name is Olzii. I am from northern Mongolia which is an original tribe of reindeer herders. /north part of Huvsgul province/ I was born and grew up in a village of the reindeer tribe, that place is called Tsagaannuur soum. When I was in high school I started my tour life in my hometown, first, I was a horseman and then went to Ulaanbaatar to study at university. From my university, I have learned about tourism management. After I graduated from my university I started working as a tour guide at a local tour company. Since 2009, I have worked as a tour guide for travel companies for 15 years. When I worked at a local tour company I met my wife she was a tour guide at the same company as me. Her name is Bayarmaa. She is from near the Altai Mountains the western part of Mongolia /Khovd province/. She is a French speaker and a good tour guide too. She has been a tour guide for 15 years at local tour companies too. Also, she studied at a university in France for 6 years. In recent years we've started doing some private tours, we think we got enough experience of tourism. Now we have a very experienced tour team. Guides, drivers, very good camping cooks, and experienced horse guides are available to us always. That is why we started our tours. Now we are living in Tsagaannuur which is my hometown with our kids. Now we have two kids, one son one daughter, But we are still organizing tours from the countryside to reindeer herders and we are receiving people from Moron city or from Ulaanbaatar airport. Both are available for us. We organize our travel destinations all around Mongolia. Our team will be ready for everyone who wants to explore all about Mongolia and we will help you to make your fantastic tour with full of adventures based on our experience. We will arrange all types of tours to all around Mongolia to make your holiday wonderful and have fun activities and feel the real habits of a Mongolian nomadic family.

Comfort Tour To Reindeer Herders - 17 Days

From this tour, you will see about reindeer herder's lifestyle. Reindeer herders are also called the Tsaatan in Mongolian it means someone who has reindeer.
Tsaatans are living at the border of Mongolia and Russia. Now they are around 100 families and they are divided into two main groups. It is called Western and Eastern Taiga. Also, they are herding over 2000 reindeer in the mountain area. From the village of Tsagaannuur, we go to East and West Taiga to meet the reindeer family. The Tsaatan people mainly live from hunting, and gathering plants and use a very large part of their reindeer milk, which is incredibly rich with fat and vitamins. The reindeer herders and their traditional teepee is the heart of Tsaatan culture. On this tour, we are going to EAST Taiga to meet reindeer herders.
For the whole tour, we will provide all the camping pieces of equipment, including camping showers, tents, sleeping bags, matrasses, etc...

Discover nomadic life with Tsaatans
In the north of Mongolia, close to the Russian and Mongolian border, there is a big valley called ‘the blue basin of Darkhad’. In this valley, two big ethnic groups of people are living for a long time; the Darkhad and Tsaatan nomads, they are 1100 km from Ulaanbaatar. Darkhad nomads are Mongolian nomads and they herd horses, sheep, goats, cows, yak, and camel. They speak their own dialect of Darkhad which is a little bit different from the main Khalkh dialect of the Mongolian language. Tsaatans are herding animals too but especially herding Reindeer and live in the big mountain area.
From this trip, you will know about Mongolian nomads and about Tsaatans. You will live with two nomadic families for two weeks. The first nomad family will be a Darkhad family and the second one is a Tsaatan family. We are sure you will have many highlights, herding the reindeer and helping the nomad families, etc... horse riding or hiking around the mountain is always possible for your trip. You will go without a translation guide but if you need you can call to the agency about what you want to know.

In the western part of Mongolia, there are many ethnic groups of people who have lived there for a very long time. During this trip, you will have the amazing opportunity to stay with Zakhchin families, which are located 1300 km from Ulaanbaatar. Zakhchin families are Mongolian nomads and they traditionally herd horses, sheep, goats, cows, yaks, and camel. They speak their own dialect of Zakhchin which is a little bit different from the main Khalkha dialect of Mongolia. Zakhchin families usually herd their animals in the big mountain area and most of the time of the year they live up there too. Since western Mongolia is very high from the sea level, you can see snow there in July too!
On this trip, you will get to know the famous Mongolian nomads, and learn about the Zakhchin people. You will have the unique opportunity of living with two different nomad families for two weeks and get a first-hand insight into their lifestyles.
