Although our trip dates changed close to the start date he managed to re-arrange everything and we had the Toyota Prada for 7 days and it was great. He is a very pleasant person and gave us a lot of information that we required to go on our journey. It was super easy working with this host and I fully recommend him

I would divide the evaluation into two parts: the car and the tent + camping equipment. Car Despite its age, the car was in very good condition. The tires could have been better. On the other hand, I missed some essential equipment – a recovery strap, a shovel, or even a board to support the jack! Tent and Camping Equipment This part was worse. In my opinion, the tent was almost unusable – instead of a mattress, there was a thin foam pad, which was extremely uncomfortable. The solid part of the tent’s ceiling was cracked and patched up – water leaked through it. There were no pillows or bed sheets. As for the equipment – the stove was dirty, there was only one gas canister, the cutlery set was incomplete, and there were very few pots – everything (except for the stove and cutlery) was stored in a cardboard box. There was no mobile shower or wash basin, and no water canister. On the Positive Side The handover and return of the vehicle were fine – everything as agreed. The communication was very professional. It’s also important to mention that the price was very reasonable (by Mongolian standards). I regret giving a negative review, but I think with just a bit more care given to the equipment, everything could have been perfect.

A scam. Stole €80 of our deposit. Keep reading to judge for yourself. The contract instructed us what gas stations we are allowed to use, and we were extremely careful to check every single time. Upon arrival to UB the car power lowered. Sandagdorj claimed it was because we used bad fuel and the fuel pump needs replacement (sound familiar from another review?). We therefore sent all of the receipts and he admitted to us that one of those companies should be removed from the contract. However, despite the fact we did nothing wrong he refused to give us part of our deposit and claimed it was our responsibility. The worst thing is - they may have changed the fuel pump but they haven’t pumped out the “bad” fuel. - a scam or not? If you want to save yourself money and distress, pay a bit more to someone decent and honest. This man is not one you want to rent from. Additional problems he refused to apologise for: 1. The ladder to the roof to tent was broken, we’ve had to help each other up every night and morning. Based on reviews he said he’d fix it a year ago. Sleeping bags weren’t available (he reimbursed us for new ones) 2. The car wasn’t cleaned and the fuel tank was completely empty 3. The car is 20 years old and shows aging signs.

We rented a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 120 for 23 days in Sept/Oct 2024, with roof tent and camping stuff. We have to say that the car was perfect! Very reliable, we never had to worry about going somewhere. We did 5000kms, mostly offroad, some difficult paths sometimes and everything went well. Tires were brand new, which is great. The car was clean when we get it. The inside of the car contains all we need for this trip. We didn’t have any mechanical problem, but we’re pretty sure that Sandagdorj would have done anything to help us. The company has several car centers around the country to change or fix the car in case of problem. Sandagdorj is also a very reliable person. He brought us the car at our hostel (Gobi Girl, right in the center) the day before our rental contract starts, which is very nice from him. Same for the end of our rental, he sent someone to pick up the car straight at the hostel. 500 euros deposit that went back to us at the end of the rental. Compare to some companies, the price per day seems not that expensive, according to us. He also answered to our messages during the trip, and took some news of us when we he lost our GPS signal 😅 Let’s talk about the camping stuff. There’s a stove which is old but working very well (we brought a jetboil in addition and the combination was perfect). There’s almost all the dishes that you’ll need for your trip, we bought what was missing and just let it in the car for the next guests. All the dishes were dirty when we get the car, not cleaned by the previous guests, and not checked by the company, but we won’t be harsh about it 😉 There’s 2 small camping chairs, one camping table, and one large mattress (not for sleeping, just to sit outside). The roof tent is absolutely perfect, you can count on that! The mattress is also very comfortable. The ladder was a little bit broken, but Sandagdorj told me he’s going to fix it. WARNING : Don’t count on the 2 included sleeping bags for autumn/spring/winter trips. This is summer sleeping bags only, not warm at all, and probably not cleaned regularly.. Hopefully we took our own sleeping bags, and that was our best decision because it was really cold. Down to -10•C in September.. Be prepared! We enjoyed Mongolia and we which you the same !! 🇲🇳😍 Ophea and Victor

It was a great trip, the car we rented was the LandcruiserPrado 95. It had some defects but that happens with a bit older car. It was a good value for money. For me it would be 4,5 stars without the ending. The ending was a bit more stressfull. We had a leak gas tank due to old age (can happen) we immediately contacted sandagdorj's colleague and let it be welded (80 dollars) and paid it. But one day before handing in they send us a message that we had to pay the renewal of the tank. The following discussion let us take the rental agreement and in the end they agreed we get our deposit back. End good all good but that process was stressfull and let the total score drop to 3 starts. Would i recommend? Yes, but be sure you clearly point them on their own rental agreement and the insurance if something breaks that you dont have to pay it. P.s. City Carwash in Ulaanbator is a good place to let the car be cleaned thoroughly inside and out for 80K Tugrik.

We rented the Prado 95 for three and a half weeks. We drove 5,500km through Mongolia in it. The car took us everywhere we wanted to go. As is not unusual with an older vehicle, things do break down. The rental company was always available immediately and organised a service for us quickly and without complications, no matter where we were. The price/performance ratio was fitting. All communication and dealings with the rental company were very friendly and uncomplicated. We would rent there again.

The car was quite old but at the end of the day it has been more or less reliable. One major breakdown due to the alternator belt, but Sandagdorj has been very responsive and has fixed it in a few hours. Very appreciated the service, with car collection and drop off following our needs (airport and hotel).

We rented a car from Sandagdorj in Ulanbataar for two weeks. Maybe it wasn't the newest model of Toyota Land Cruiser, but it was mostly reliable and efficient for not-always-easy Mongolian roads. There were however few small malfuctions with a car, but we managed to contact our host easily and all repairs and help were provided in a satisfying time. Deposit money settlement was fair, since we got involved in one accident with our car.

We rented a landcruiser with rooftent from Sandagdorj for 4 weeks. It was great! Sandagdorj brought the car to our hotel, checked the car together in a garage and picked it up at the end of our stay. I did give Sandagdorj a bad review but on reflection I was too harsh. He did collect me at airport and was always available on whatsapp. I think he just needs to pay a little more attention to detail regarding the equipment and maybe renewing some of it every year. The cars are old but that's not a problem, probably more reliable than some modern ones but again a little more attention to servicing and preparation. He has contacts in a few towns throughout Mongolia which helps if anything goes wrong. I'm a 75 yo solo traveller and having traveled for many years I don't expect perfection.

Overall everything went as discussed. We were surprised that our driver spoke no English. Turns out only the person doing the emailing spoke English. We did get everything that was discussed for the agreed upon price. Our driver was very good, the vehicle was good, and we did ok with the language barrier. We were pleased with the service.

Everything went perfectly. The guide was very helpful and polite and the car was excellent!

I am just satisfied with their service. Car was basic, driver was good and the guide was a nice guy but not really fluent in english. We haven`t have any trouble and food and accomodation were ok.
