I had a two-week tour along the Karakoram Highway with Sherbaz, and I can honestly say that everything he was responsible for was absolutely perfect.
From the very beginning, he made sure I felt comfortable, well taken care of, and always had enough food, snacks, and water. I am not an experienced hiker, but despite that, we always found ways to visit the most beautiful places, and all of my wishes and ideas were fulfilled quickly and without any issues.
We also visited many beautiful regions that are not typically included in standard tourist routes, and Sherbaz organized the most interesting and authentic places for me, which made the experience even more special and unique.
Even though Pakistan is not an easy destination for beginners, it becomes incredibly fascinating once you fully immerse yourself in it. One of the absolute highlights of the trip was Fairy Meadows. Since I don’t hike, Sherbaz organized everything for me, including transport and even horses where needed, which made it possible for me to enjoy the experience without stress.
We also travelled along the Karakoram Highway to see the famous “dangerous road,” and we even encountered landslides on the way. It was intense, exciting, and at times quite adventurous (what I like), but I always felt safe because Sherbaz and his driver handled everything professionally and calmly. We made it through carefully, including sections where roads were being cleared, which made the experience unforgettable.
Whenever needed, Sherbaz made sure food was prepared in advance and that we always had support and security when required. Throughout the entire trip, I felt both safe and free to enjoy the adventure.
I would definitely recommend taking a tour with Sherbaz. He is an amazing guide — very friendly, funny, and easy to talk to. At the same time, he is highly professional and makes you feel like everything is under control. It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, where I could enjoy adventure while still feeling completely taken care of.

Every now and again you meet a guide who just takes everything to the next level - thoughtful, professional, good-humoured, resourceful and extremely caring. SherBaz is all of these things and more. From the outset he tailored an itinerary to tour the beautiful nature of northern Pakistan with a particular emphasis on the wonderful hot springs that the region offers. His communication during the planning stage was always prompt, informative and it soon became clear that this is a guide with a "can do" approach.
Meeting SherbBaz on the first day of our ten-day tour (along with our wonderful driver Nasir, an expert on Pakistan's adventurous roads) confirmed all we had hoped for - here is a gem of a tour guide who anticipates his guest's needs, pays close attention to every detail, is always there to answer questions and deal with any concerns, and makes huge efforts to overcome even the most obscure challenges that travelling in Pakistan can sometimes bringt with it - and all this with a smile on his face!
SherBaz has more than 25 years' experience in tour guiding and offers a unique combination of skills, many gained from a background in the hospitality industry. He comes from a large village family, which perhaps explains his great humility and kindness, and the way he treats others with such respect is wonderful to witness. He is incredibly adept at finding solutions to any issue, and goes the extra mile in ensuring that the main interests of any guest (in our case, hot springs) remain the central focus of the tour. In addition, we had unique dietary needs (both vegetarian, one gluten-free) which he took in his stride and always ensured we were fed delicious meals. This would have been far more complex to navigate had we been travelling without him.
In short, Sherbaz will unlock the door to an incredible Pakistani experience - look no further!
I am Sher Baz a proessional tour guide. I recently conducted a ten-day tour program for Mr Jason and Mr.Brett in the Northern Hot Spring areas. Where we explored and enjoyed, he region beautiful hot springs together.
From the movement i picked them up at the airport i found them to be extremely helpful respectful and kind. The brought with them a wealth of travel experience and i learned a great deal from their insights and cooperation thought-out the journey. They fell more like teacher then clients.

Even when we had to adjust the schedule due to flooding or landslides, he quickly came up with excellent alternatives. At the end of June 2024, a dream came true. I was able to get to know the north of Pakistan in all its facets. There was both the hectic tourist activity in front of the Babusar Pass and the peace and serenity of the people of Hunza behind the pass. I chose the Shimshal Pass Trek because it promised to be able to discover a wild, untouched mountain world far away from all tourist trails. And this promise was fulfilled. It was an adventurous, physically demanding tour in an indescribably peaceful and pure nature. I really enjoyed this break from civilization. Sher Baz had organized everything perfectly. The driver of our jeep was extremely professional and resilient while driving on difficult mountain roads. Sher Baz and I were then accompanied on the trek by two porters who also looked after our physical well-being. The food was very well tailored to the individual daily load and very digestible. You can drink water from the mountain and glacier runoff without hesitation. Some of the mountain paths are very exposed, so you should not be afraid of heights. You also need a good level of basic stamina. Sher Baz is a very careful mountain guide with a lot of experience. He is there when you need him. He thinks ahead, is loyal and honest, an all-round pleasant person. Once you arrive at the Shimshal Pass, depending on the time and experience you have, you have the opportunity to explore peaks in the surrounding area. I am grateful to Sher Baz and his team for these incredible 10 days, which I will always remember fondly.

I recently had the pleasure of touring Pakistan for 14 days with the help of an incredible tour guide - Sher Baz. From start to finish, our guide was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the country. He not only knew all the best spots for sightseeing and adventure, but he also seemed to know almost everyone we encountered on our journey!

I had the great privilege to have Sherbaz guide me on a 21 day adventure through Pakistan during September and October 2022. Out trip took us from Islamabad through Astore valley, Skardu, Shigar, Khaplu, Gilgit, Karimabad, Passu, to the Chinese border, Phander valley, Shandur, Chitral, the Kalash valleys, Swat, Peshawar and Rawalpindi. I made contact with Sherbaz through Indy Guide several months before arriving. After exchanging a handful of messages I felt that Sherbaz had the best combination of attributes I was seeking - excellent English, a good sense of humour and an absolute passion for Pakistan. Sherbaz did not disappoint me. In the months leading up to my trip Sherbaz assisted with all kinds of valuable advice which was particularly reassuring as the Australia government sees Pakistan as a high risk travel destination. When I did finally arrive in Pakistan I felt like I was meeting a friend I hadn't seen for a few years rather than someone I had never met. Sherbaz‘ best attribute as a guide was that he always maintained a sense of humour and a positive outlook, and was very nimble in adjusting our plans to account for changing circumstances, including the effects of the floods that had caused so much havoc just before I arrived. Sherbaz has a profound knowledge about, and love of Pakistan and was prepared to discuss with great honesty the issues confronting his country which I found fascinating. Sherbaz has a great sense of adventure, but always tempered by common sense. At all times I felt relaxed knowing Sherbaz had the skills and experience to deal with any issues that arose. I have travelled to many countries but would say that my time in Pakistan will always remain a highlight, and that is thanks to the dedication and good humour of Sherbaz, who I will always consider a close and valued friend.

My tour was great.
Although it wasn’t Shurbaz that was my guide, he found me the best driver and guide. Juma and Nasar looked after me for the entire two weeks.
We had a great time ,full of wow moments and lots of fun.
The driving made up a lot of the tour.
It was full of incredible scenery and never boring.
The weather was very pleasant, being cool up in the mountains. The Hotels were clean and all had a comfy bed.
The food was good, made from local produce.
I had a great time, not once did I feel it was an unsafe place.
