Soko's company gave the best price for a 6D5N Gobi tour and was very transparent with all the costs, even providing a detailed breakdown for all included services. She also responded promptly to questions and supplied photos of accommodation when asked. The trip itself was full of beautiful untouched scenery and authentic Mongolian experiences. We stayed in tourist ger camps and motels but also a fully local ger camp run by a sheep herding family where we were the only guests. Meals were all provided. Mindae was an expert 4WD driver who deftly navigated rocky terrain and long unpaved roads, and also played a lot of great Mongolian music along the way. If you need someone to make your first visit to Mongolia memorable, I highly recommend Soko and her team!

Thank you to Soko for organising a wonderful trip for 10 people across the Gobi Desert and Orkan valley for 11 days, 10 nights. The 10 of us have each raved about our experience and wanted to particularly call out the following as highlights of our trip: - Soko's responsiveness prior to the trip and ability to answer our questions and proactively share info we would need. An absolute pro. - Soko's flexibility to customise our trip route based off of our requests prior to departure. - The drivers Mogi and Bimba for their kindness, ability to maintain cars in rural mongolia, and absolutely excellent sense of direction. Also had a fab ability to spot wildlife from far away! - On the trip we were provided details of the landscapes we were seeing - for example in the moon valley we were given information about the geology and tetonic plate activity in the region. -The hospitality of the nomadic families we stayed with over our trip - thank you to Soko for working so hard behind the scenes to contact them and locate them during spring, a time of year when many families are relocating. This was such a memorable trip with beautiful scenery and people, would absolutely recommend booking with Soko and visiting Mongolia.

Soko was the definition of a perfect host. She treated me very kindly and her tour program was very fun and original. During our tour, there was a little glitch (due to my careless misbehavior) but Soko and her assistant were nice enough to adjust the entire tour schedule to assist me in resolving the situation. I feel like I met not just a tour guide, but a true friend. Would definitely recommend. She is also very well-communicable. Can't wait to revisit Mongolia and see her again.

It was only a one night trip to Terelj N.P., very memorable and a great choice! There were no communication problems, it was comfortable and every moment was enjoyable! Customize your trip by paying extra for what you want and leaving out what you don't. Mongolia's tourism industry is developing slowly, so travelers don't have much choice. If you choose Soko, I am confident that it is the best choice you can make! Bayartai!! :)

I had a fantastic trip to Mongolia with Soko and her company MongolNomads. My guide and driver both did an excellent job of making me feel comfortable and engaged during our trip through Central and south Mongolia. They went above and beyond to help me engage with various local people in the countryside and my guide did an excellent job of cooking all of our meals. When I return to Mongolia in the future I will definitely book with Soko because her excellent professionalism and the great professionalism that was displayed by her team members.

In the beginning there was a bit misunderstanding between what we booked and what we would get for the price paid, but we booked very last minute (less than 48h from our tour date). Soko however managed everything nicely, we had a great driver and got everything we were expecting for. Highly recommended, and we are looking forward to book with Soko again in the future!

Thanks to Soko, we really enjoyed our holiday in the coldest part of Mongolian winter. It was an amazing experience in a beautiful and pristine country.

Soko was very helpful in organizing transportation and a guide to the Hustai NP. And also after our cancelled flights she was very flexible to adjust the programm. So after all we spent a great day around UB. Thanks a lot! :-)

Soko and her team are simply amazing! Soko`s passion for her business makes her go above and beyond. The tour was fantastic value for money, and really authentic. We stayed with small nomad families and helped herd their animals and make fermented mere milk and even vodka! Tour guide Munkuush was a great cook, and driver Norvoo was incredibly skilled. In 13 days we went from camel rides in the sunny Gobi to riding horses in the snow in e grasslands. A trip of a lifetime!

All went well, from airport pick-up to dropoff we felt looked after by Soko and her tour team. It was a good balance between getting to try Mongolian things and experience the culture as well as catering to our own creature comforts (e.g., cooking vegetables for us). Soko seems to have good connections across the regions so we had comfortable accommodation and a range of things to do. We recommend deciding whether you want more desert or more steppe (it turned out we preferred the steppe) and think about how much time to spend in the car vs. hiking/other activities but seeing fewer places.

After having made already many travels all around the world, I had still one trip on my bucket list: Mongolia. I hoped to experience the nomadic culture and traditions, experience the dirt roads before major infrastructure projects of sealing roads will spoil the traditional mongolian experience. In order to have the opportunity to come close to the nomadic culture, I was convinced to get this only by using a locally based tour operator. We did not want to stay in the touristy ger camps. After contacting several local tour operators, I had, by far, the best feedback and warmest contact with Soko in Ulaanbataar. Also the price quotation was very competitive. Together we set up a 22-day tour by UAZ (russian minivan 4wd) starting from Ulaanbataar covering the Gobi, Central Mongolia and Western mongolia with a flight back from Ölgiii to Ulaanbaatar. Soko has put the nomadic families (homestays) as a major element in this trip as to my request. The end of July we ( myself and my parents who are 86 and 77 years old), arrived in UB and we were met at the airport by a driver. That afternoon we met Soko, our guide Muunkuush and driver Byaamba in her office to discuss and go through the tour planning to double check if all is OK. Soko did everything to arrange things in such a way that alos my parents could enjoy the whole trip. So did she supply a toilet chair since squatting is difficult for elderly people. The tour went great and we lived literally between the nomads and due to our great guide and driver they made it possible to interact with the nomadic families. We loved our russian UAZ minibus which was great in all offroad conditions. Byaamba was such a safe driver and he was extremely attentative. He was also our handyman and he could repair anything. Muunkush was efficient, always in a good mood, has a good sense of humour and is a good translator and a great chef. She cooked two hot meals a day and always a delicious breakfast. The meals were healthy, with lots of fresh vegetables and ingredients and very tasty. We felt like a family! For the part in western Mongolia, Soko arraned an additional guide who spoke Kazach language. 80% of the nomadic people in western Mongolia (Bayaan Ölgii) are Kazach poeple and many of them do not speak mongolian. So we could interact wit these Kazach families without problem. Besides th beautiful scenery of Mongolia we were really overwhelmed by the hughe hospitalty and friendliness of the nomadic families. Thrse people, living very remotely, offered all they had to us as guests. This was a very special experience to us. It has given Mongolia a warm place in our hearts. Soko has made this all happen. This tour has been a tour we will never forget and we got even attached to Soko, Muunkush and Byaamba. They have made this the perfect tour! Thank you Soko! We can fully recommend Soko for a real mongolian experience. She is extremely reliable, warm and trustworthy person and will do everything to ma the trip successful.

We had a good memory throughout this trip. The tour guide girl is Biamba and the driver is Moki who took well care of us. Hopefully, I spell their names correctly. Biamba is young and passionate who tried her best to keep our trip smoothly. She did a lot of homework about the places we visited and she cooked well too. Moki is a hard-working guy and very heart-warming. Although he can`t speak in English, he still told us many stories of himself and the places we should visit next time in Mongolia. Of course, all translated by Biamba. They become friends during the trip. And there is a gentle reminder that do check with their manager where they are going to stay at night. I think somehow their manager forgot to arrange their accommodation. This is a great trip. If I have chances to visit Mongolia, I will definitely see them again. Thanks for taking care of us during the trip, Biamba and Moki.

We had an exceptional time on our trip. Soko was extremely kind and patient throughout our (extremely long) inquiry phase and provided the best customized trip we could have hoped for. We had sleeping bags to be comfy in, vegetarian food for every meal, a hardy russian 4x4 to cruise along in and everything (right from horse and camel riding to foraging for wild strawberries) which would be required to be on an epic adventure in Mongolia. We finished our trip with fond memories of bewitching landscapes but even more so of the genuineness, warmth and hospitality of Mongolia`s amazing people - all thanks to the amazing team of Soko and Friends. It is often said that the little things make a lot of difference - and they truly did. Providing us a short stay in the guesthouse after a long flight, taking pains to buy a makeshift cake and candles for a birthday celebration, ensuring we had a fire burning in our Ger during cold nights - these show the care and genuine affection with which our tour team (Ichko, Saaya and Sidit) took care of us. We highly highly recommend!

It was a truly wonderful tour to the central part of Mongolia. We took 9 days tour that consisted of ger-stay in Orkhon valley, horse trekking through eight lakes and ger-stay with yak herder family in Shuranga. From the very start, Soko provided us with several tour options based on our places of interest and duration of the tour. She is such a knowledgeable and resourceful person who provided us with expert opinions and tailored the itinerary in our best interest. Upon our arrival to UB, she was very nice to meet us to explain the day to day itinerary in detail and to make sure we were well-prepared for the tour. Our guide, Munkhuush, and driver, Byamba, are very warm and friendly persons as well. They were always eager to help us get the best experience out of the tour. In Shuranga, they found out that there was a horse festival happening nearby and brought us there although it’s not included in the original itinerary. Great organization, uncomplicated communication and competent support. We`ve had the best 4 weeks ever! On our Gobi tour, we were in a small group of three with a friend of ours and with driver Naruwa and his Russian Van. We cooked ourselves and at night we stayed at nomad families in their guest gers, which Soko has organized in advance. Every day there was a special highlight, from the Flaming Cliffs, the White Stupas, the Singing Sand Dunes in the very south to the waterfall in the Grasslands. At our request to do horse trekking, Soko has organized a 4-day tour through the 8 Lakes area - one of the greatest adventures you can do. We totally loved it! We`ve had an introductory meeting with Soko in advance, where we discussed the individual days and all the details of the trip. The communication beforehand was great and Soko helped us with all the preparations (for example, grocery shopping, SIM, etc.) - so we always had a good feeling about our tour. Great except for the smoking. Driver smoked outside the car but inside the car we we`re choking on his toxic breath. Invest in a pack of gum. Open a window. Nobody wants to gag on the fumes.

Our tour team was just the best! Gamba was the perfect driver and took good care of the van and us and Alma was spoiling us all week with great information and food (we thought it was impossible to travel through Gobi Desert as a vegan but she made it happen! We always had wonderful freshly cooked food!) Soko did a great service pre&post trip and we can highly recommend them! Things went smoothly! i was promptly picked up by Soko and the driver.Though the driver could not speak much english, he can generally understand the simple english stuff like food or toilet etc.

I have just ended the 3 day semi desert and Khustai National park tour and to conclude, the whole experience was tremendously pleasant. Soko was very responsive during our correspondence online and upon meeting her, we were pleased to learn that she is equally helpful and engaging. The driver, Norvoo, was friendly and very helpful despite not being able to speak any English.Due to the fact that we are pescastarians, Soko prepared all our meals herself and the food was indeed wholesome and tasty.Overall, I would highly recommend Soko and friends to anyone who is keen on learning more about Mongolia and what it has to offer.

We enjoyed a beautiful trip through the southern, central and northern part of Mongolia this June. With our dutiful driver Sukhee it was possible to see countless highlights along the way and experience a true Mongolian outdoor adventure. It was truly amazing, one of the most memorable trips I have ever been. The stunning and massive nature in the semi desert, countless number of animals to see/play with, warm and nice people, and great planning of the itinerary and an organized and cheerful guide and a kind driver. I can`t have enough of this beautiful country, I will definitely come back to Mongolia again. We wanted to go off-road into the vast Mongolian steppe, horse-riding and see historical places(Karaholin) as well. Soko planned a perfect 6-day plan for us, we had all of it in a private tour for our group of two. She is a great host with excellent English. During the tour, Tuul was our guide and excellent cook, driver was Byamba who spoke no English but was such a nice gentleman, always helpful and professional. Also, we had another guide-under-training called Ichinhko, such a sweet person. We stayed in 4 different places, but our highlight was staying in a family gher near Orkhon Valey for 2 nights. We enjoyed playing with the kids and dogs, riding the horses, visiting the valley. Yet, most spectacular occasion was watching the family men training wild horses. They really managed to let a horse bent his knee down while riding on to him. This is a clear part of how humans domesticate the nature. We were lucky enough to see highly trained skill how nomad people cope with wild animals and the nature, and impressed and admired by that they keep this lifestyle until now. Reading a bit beforehand about local customs and also about things to buy back in UB before going home was super useful. Bayala!!! ARIGATO GOZAIMASHITA.

Wonderful experience we had. From the very 1st time we engage Soko till the end of the trip, she provided very clear day to day itinerary. Update us on the weather situation as the tour date draws nearer and advise us on the things to bring. Our driver and guides were equally wonderful, Making sure that we are warm and well-fed throughout the trip.

My husband and I had a wonderful 8days/7nights trip organised by Soko’s company. We went to 5 different nomadic families places and enjoyed many activities such as camel and horse riding, hiking and also visited temples, museum and relaxed at the hot spring. We tried local food and traditional clothes and really enjoyed everything. Our guide and driver were adorable and we would like to thanks them for their kindness and arrangements in each situation.

Just got back from a nine day Gobi tour with my girlfriend, and I have only good things to say! Soko invited us to her office, and over a cup of tea we went through our route. She was super friendly and helpful, even offering to keep helping us even after our tour ended. The tour itself was fab. We had a WONDERFUL tour guide called Helen (a dentistry student) and a kind, super experienced (very funny) driver. The ger camps we stayed in were all comfortable and camping spots well chosen. Little things, like the quality food, made it as comfortable as a road (or lack-of) trip in the Gobi possibly could be. We got lots of agency as to what exactly we wanted to do, and basically total freedom to craft the trip (although we took the advice of Soko and Helen as what exactly to do. On the Gobi itself, it`s worth saying this: I`d really recommend it as long as you`re comfortable driving off road (quite bumpy) and being creative in going to the toilet. We`re still in touch with Hele, and Soko helped to organise our hostel in Moron (later on in the trip). We really enjoyed our trip!!! First we were surprised that we were going with two guys since we are two girls but luckily everything was fine. Our guide told us a lot about Mongolian history and cooked delicious food for us. Our driver seemed to be very experienced and he was friendly and funny so we felt very safe! Soko was very helpful in organizing a Naadam festival tour. We had fantastic seats at the main stadium with great views of the opening ceremony and wrestling that followed, and got to see the horse race the same day out of town. The tour included a tour of a nearby national park, but there was a last minute change from Terelj to Hustai National Park. As it turned out, this was great since we saw lots of wildlife in Hustai, even a couple of rare Przewalski horses high on a hill. On returning to UB, we were meant to see a cultural performance but our local guide (not Soko herself) got us to the venue too late to get a seat, which was a disappointment. Fortunately, I was able to see the performance on another tour that I had already arranged. Soko was also very helpful in arranging a separate tour to Terelj National Park and the giant Chinggis Khan statue. Soko is delightful in person, an experienced tour organizer (one of the very first with Indy Guide) and always trying to improve her tours. I would recommend her.

Im a tour guide and I spent 15 days travelling in Mongolia with 6 tourists. Everything was great. The driver was very friendly and helpful. Also Soko was very helpful, she helped me to buy cheep food and water, gave me phone contacts to all the ger camps, which was on the beautiful places and wasnt expensive. She also helped me several times during our trip by phone. Next time I will definitely want to go with Soko again.

We had a great 9 day tour to Hovsgol Nuur lake. Everything was well organized and due to closed areas (foot and mouth disease) reorganizied. Great Job. Stay with nomadic families was fine but people with allergies should discuss with Soko their situation - I am sure she will find a solution. In the pretour discussion we could point our special interests and the have been fullfilled 100%. The russian Van is not comfortable but the best option to return save and in time. SOKO and her drivers are good for 100% satisfaction on your Tour!!!

We were a little concerned about the trip at first, being our first time in Mongolia, but the moment we met our guide Doya and driver Bagi, all our fears were assuaged. Soko took time to receive us and to send us off at the airport, and was very patient in explaining everything to us. Doya was an amazing guide/cook/translator all in one, and was able to teach us a lot about Mongolia`s culture and history. Bagi (or "Joy" as he prefers to be called) was the friendliest and most cheerful driver we have ever met. We had a wonderful 5 days in Central Mongolia with Doya and Bagi, and by the end of the trip, felt like we had made 2 very good friends. Will definitely be back to Mongolia one day!

we were having the most amazing time during our 5 days 4 nights gobi trip with mugi, namuul and soko. we were exploring the vast landscapes with our russian van, which was mainly driving off-road and able to stop anywhere for a break, for lunch or for dinner. then, namuul with his experience as a cook, would make us delicious meals and tell us delightful tales about the mongolian animals or the places where we would stop. we had so many highlights, we were taken to beautiful places, had the chance to get an insight into the way of nomadic life and were riding on camels and horses. one of our personal highlights tough was to meet Namul, such a good guy and guide. We were always feeling his really good heart, that he genuinely cared about us and we loved to listen to him playing the horse head fiddle he had brought along as a surprise. we will always look back on these days as on one of our most beautiful trips and would like to thank you all again for letting us experience your wonderful country in such a beautiful way. thank you ♥. simone and yeshi

Soko and Mogii (driver ) were really supportive!! They are punctual and precise about the travel schedule. I went to Terelj for BBQ party with friends, but had trouble making fire in a camp site. Mogii even helped make fire and cook meat for us!! I had lots of fun all together in my trip! Thank you so much again for everything!

Things were a little rough this week and had it`s ups and downs. For the most part, since it was the beginning of the season, it was lots of catching up with the nomadic families and speaking in Mongolian. I felt excluded from the group for a majority of the trip since I don`t speak Mongolian. I would only recommend this tour IF you are traveling with someone else. This will at least give you someone to talk to while Soko and the others catch up and speak Mongolian for most of the trip. Soko for the most part is a trusting person, but she still has room to improve. I`m also not sure that the tour was worth the price I paid for $950. There are way more tours out there so do some research and find a tour that fits you

The tour was absolutely fantastic. Soko is professional but friendly and very accommodating. Nothing was a problem for her or her driver Bagi (not sure of spelling). I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone wanting to see Mongolia.

We booked our tour by Soko but went on the 9 days Gobi desert tour with her friend Alma as our guide. Alma was cook and guide in one person and like a friend to us. We had a wonderful time, the tour was perfectly organized, we had an amazing camel ride into the dunes and could experience the real nomadic life because of her privat contacts. Perfect trip with a perfect giude and perfect driver. Thanks for giving us that great time.

It was amazing! Soko is one of the most organized and reliable people I`ve come come across in all my travels. Unlike so many Tour Guides she gave me a detailed itinerary with all features and benefits. She then ensured not only was it adhered to but it remained malleable as my interest and goals leading up to the day slightly changed and evolved. She made sure I didn`t miss anything that was promised while adding more value and opportunities as they became available. She gave me an excellent guide and driver that made me feel safe and looked after even though I traveled alone I felt part of something, part of Mongolia! Soko came up with a tour that was both challenging and fun. The journey to the "Teepee People" was one of the most rewarding times in my life. It was a 15 day tour with an insane pace. I only spent 3 nights in Taiga but like a true adventure not only was the destination the peak of the story but the journey getting there was a story in itself. In summary, if you want a detailed personally tailored tour. With no hidden cost/fees or strange surprises I HIGHLY recommend Soko! I found tours that were cheaper but none nearly as good and in Mongolia Value is definitely more important that cost.
