My journey with Tunisia began in 2014, and what started as a deep fascination quickly transformed into a life’s mission. Since that year, I have dedicated myself 100% to this mesmerizing region, transitioning from a passionate traveler to an expert specialized in crafting authentic, individual journeys.
I believe that travel should be a profound exchange, which is why I work in close partnership with local communities. Over the past decade, I have built a unique network of trusted local guides, regional experts, and boutique tourism providers. These are not just business partners; they are people I know all personally, people of absolute integrity who serve as the heartbeat of every tour you book with me.
My travel concepts are the result of years of personal development and rigorous on-the-ground testing. You won't find "off-the-shelf" itineraries with me. Kerkennah
For years, I have had this archipelago in the Gulf of Gabès on my radar. I have travelled extensively through Tunisia – from the Sahara and the Dahar Mountains to Djerba and Tunis – but Kerkennah is one place I have never visited.
On 11 November 2026, I am heading south from Tunis for seven days on Kerkennah.
And I am looking for one more Explorer to join me.
Who is this experience for?
This journey is for you if you are curious about a different side of Tunisia.
If you prefer experiencing over sightseeing.
If you like travelling slowly, meeting people, tasting local food and discovering how everyday life unfolds away from the classic tourist routes.

I know Tunisia very well. But I don't know Kerkennah yet.
And that is exactly what makes this journey special.
What will you discover?
Explore the islands, walk through villages, follow the coastline, meet local people and discover the rhythm of island life. One experience I am particularly looking forward to is Charfia fishing – a traditional fishing method using palm-frond barriers to guide fish into shallow-water traps.
It is much more than a fishing technique. It is knowledge passed down through generations and deeply connected to the sea, the tides and the life of the islanders.
This is not a standard Tunisia tour. It is a small-scale journey with just three Explorers – travelling together, staying curious and leaving room for encounters and unexpected discoveries.

Unlike a traditional museum, Djerbahood is alive. Local families continue their daily routines, children play in the narrow streets, and cafés welcome visitors just steps away from famous murals. This unique combination of authentic village life and international street art creates an atmosphere that cannot be found anywhere else.

This hiking holiday in Tunisia combines impressive nature, fascinating geological history and authentic Berber culture away from the classic tourist routes.
About the place:
The Dahar Mountains in southern Tunisia, also known as the Grand Traversée Dahar or the Great Dahar, are considered one of the most geologically fascinating regions in North Africa. Recently, the Dahar was inscribed on the UNESCO Executive Board's list of Global Geoparks, making it the first geopark in Tunisia and the third on the African continent.
A hiking holiday in the Dahar Mountains is therefore not only a nature trip, but also a journey through millions of years of Earth's history. Breathtaking views line this journey south through the counties of Tataouine and Matmata. The scenery alternates between mountain oases in valleys, mountain ranges, and table mountains.
Winding roads snake through the mountainous landscapes. The Dahar Mountains are located on the same tectonic plate as the Sahara, which is why you'll find the same starry skies and a similar climate.
For who is it for?
This trip is ideal for you if you want a moderately active experience and a relaxed immersion in the culture. You'll be in Dahar, the cradle of the Amazigh, the indigenous people and original inhabitants of North Africa. Whether as a couple, in a small group, or traveling solo, this hiking trip offers intense nature experiences and authentic encounters.
With an eye for details, the tour concepts were developed and coordinated with my Tunisian partner agency, also experts of the region and hiking guide Aymen Naouel Zammouri who will take you by the hand. Aymen is original from the village where you will be hosted, in an authentic Berber style hotel, Beni Kheddache. When he is not leading groups he cares about his organic capres in his backyard. He loves his land, The Great Dahar and nature.
