This is a 10 day exclusive tour to visit "must visit" places in the Pamir highway. This is an unforgetable tour. You will be travelling on a comfortable Tayota Land Cruiser 200 new model in great coniditon and working AC.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Dushanbe, Tajikistan to Kalaikhum, Tajikistan
Meeting with a driver at a hotel/guest-house in Dushanbe and heading to the Pamirs via Kulob. Airport pick up is also possible if needed. On the way stop in Vose to see Hulbuk fortress and the mausoleum of a poet and scholar of the 14th century, Khoja Mir Sayid Hamadani in Kulob. Heading to Kalai Khum. Overnight in a homestay in Kalai-Khumb town. Hiking possible to Karon archeological complex in Kalai Khum.
Day 2: Kalaikhum, Tajikistan to Rŭshan, Tajikistan
On this day you will see one of the “most wanted” to visit places for tourists – Jizeu village. It is a truly untouched piece of land, where people still live very far from civilization and globalization has not affected them. The atmosphere of this place is difficult to describe. Because of high altitude, the night sky is breathtaking. Millions and billions of starts can be seen.
Day 3: Rŭshan, Tajikistan to Khorog, Tajikistan
On the way enjoying the Afghan villages along the Panj (Oxus) River. Afternoon Khorog City Tour: Botanical Garden, Khorog Ismaili Center and Jamaatkhana, City Park. Overnight in a Pamiri traditional house in Khorog (special deal for my clients only $18 USD per person for bed and breakfast). The traditional house is located near the river bank in a very peaceful and beautiful place. You will enjoy the sound of the glacial river and the beautiful nature. Almost all my tourists recall this place "peaceful heaven"
Day 4: Khorog, Tajikistan to Bibi Fatima Hot Springs, Tajikistan
Heading to the Tajik Wakhan. On the way visiting the ruins of Kah-Kah and Yamchun fortresses, Bibi Fotima hot spring, pre-Islamic shrines, Museum of Sufi Muboraki Vakhoni, astronomer and scholar of the 19th century.
Day 5: Bibi Fatima Hot Springs, Tajikistan to Langar, Tajikistan
Engels Meadows Trek. Highlights: breathtaking view of the Wakhan, both Tajik and Afghan, with Hindukush on the background, great view of immense Engels (6507 m) South Face. Overnight in a homestay ($15-$18 USD ppp for a bed, dinner and breakfast) in Langar village.
Day 6: Langar, Tajikistan to Alichur, Tajikistan
Driving to Bulunkul settlement (coldest place in Tajikistan) via the Khargush pass (4344 m). 2-3 hike to the viewpoint of the pass (Panarama Ridge). After lunch at a homestay in Bulunkul, discover the village and the lakes. Continue driving to Alichur. Overnight in a homestay/yurt ($15-$18 USD ppp for a bed, dinner and breakfast) in Alichur. Half-day yak safari to observe the wildlife (in particular of sheep and ibex).
Day 7: Alichur, Tajikistan to Karakul Lake, Tajikistan
Discover the local bazaar. Driving to Karakul (‘black’ lake) via the highest point of the Pamir Highway, Ak-Baital pass). In the afternoon hike along the lake or hike to one of the viewpoints of the lake. Shortstop to hike along the Karakul. It is possible to stay in homestay or yurt in Karakul or can return to Murghab and stay in hotel.
Day 8: Karakul Lake, Tajikistan to Jelondy Hot Spring Spa and Hotel, Tajikistan
Heading to Jelondi through Murgab , one of the famous hotsprings places. Enjoy the healing effect of the hotspring and stay overnight in Jelondi hotel.
Day 9: Jelondy Hot Spring Spa and Hotel, Tajikistan to Kalaikhum, Tajikistan
through breathtaking route with beautiful mountains, rivers and local villages view.
Day 10: Kalaikhum, Tajikistan to Dushanbe, Tajikistan
This time we will return through Saghri Dasht pass to Dushanbe (not through Kulob). Many tourists highlight the beautiful and unique view of this road while driving. You will see untouched nature and bright colors of nature especially during spring, summer and autumn time.
