12 Day Full Pamir Highway Tour - Bartang And Wakhan
About this tour
This is a unique tour, which gives you the opportunity to fully see the GBAO region and all sites of Pamir highway, including Wakhan and Bartang Valleys as well as eastern Pamir (Murghab).
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Dushanbe, Tajikistan to Kalaikhum, Tajikistan
Pick up at hotel or airport and start the journey. On this day we will travel through Khatlon region of Tajikistan to GBAO.
Day 2: Kalaikhum, Tajikistan to Khorog, Tajikistan
We will start our journey to Pamir highway, the border with Afghanistan is visible at this point as well.
Day 3: Khorog, Tajikistan to Eshkashem, Tajikistan
We will travel to see the fortresses and hot springs of Ishkashim and Wakhan Valley.
Day 4: Eshkashem, Tajikistan to Langar, Tajikistan
You will be able to see Qah Qah fortress, Yamchun fortress and Bibi Fotima Hotspring. Museum of Mubarakqadam. Solar calendar,
Day 5: Langar, Tajikistan to Bulunkul, Tajikistan
Important part of Silk ROad and you will see Bulunkul and Yashikul lakes. Possible to have local fish for lunch.
Day 6: Bulunkul, Tajikistan to Murghab, Tajikistan
Yak trip. Alichor village. Bashukmbez villahe - Chinese graves.
Day 7: Murghab, Tajikistan to Karakul Lake, Tajikistan
Oq Baytal pass - 4700. Karakul Lake, Urtubuz view point
Day 8: Karakul Lake, Tajikistan to Bartang, Tajikistan
It is one of the most off road places of the trip. Only few tourists travel this way. It has amazing views and you will travel towards Sarez lake.
Day 9: Bartang, Tajikistan to Bardara, Tajikistan
Jizeu village - beautiful farthest village, not impacted by civilization and globalization. Lakes - 2.
Day 10: Bardara, Tajikistan to Rŭshan, Tajikistan
We will have chance to rest a bit after long walks and hikes in Jizeu village.
Day 11: Rŭshan, Tajikistan to Saghirdasht, Tajikistan
This part of the road has stunning views, high altitude,
Day 12: Saghirdasht, Tajikistan to Dushanbe, Tajikistan
Last day of the trip. We will return to Dushanbe through Saghridasht. Not many tousirsts get to travel this way.
