An adventurous 3 days tour through Gilan province, a green area covered with meadows and lush Hyrcanian forest, UNESCO World Heritage along Caspian Sea in the north of Iran. This is a 3-day trip to the mountainous Gilan with a stay in the picturesque mountain village Masuleh. Includes a trekking to the famous Rudkhan castle of the Hashashin and a visit to the open-air Gilan Rural Heritage Museum. This travel extension has plenty of hiking possibilities and is a unique opportunity to meet the traditional, local population.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Tehran, Iran to Fuman, Iran
Gilan Province, A Beautiful Region Along Caspian Sea! An enthusiastic driver guide will Waite you at hotel lobby to take you out for 3 days trip along Caspian sea to Gilan green province. Gilan is a beautiful region of Iran along the coast of the Caspian Sea. The forested coastal plains rise up quickly into the Alborz Mountains. Rasht is a city in the north of Iran around 40 kilometers from the shore of the Caspian Sea. This region in the North of Iran and South of Caspian Sea, has been of interest in this study due to its specific potential of visiting. Day 2: Fuman, Iran
Today is adventure day to hike Rudkhan Castle via a beautiful forest walk that belongs to the Sasanian era and later rebuilt during the Seljuq era by the Nizari Ismailis. It’s located on forest highs in the beautiful village of Rudkhan in Fuman County. Masuleh overnight.
Day 3: Fuman, Iran to Tehran, Iran
Drive to visit Gilan Rural heritage Museum, Then en route to Tehran .Stop over Manjil to have excursion at olive shops, continue to Tehran. Tehran overnight. Note: You continue Iran adventure by visiting Iran’s highlighted destinations; Shiraz, Yazd, Isfahan and Kashan.
