Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Taraz, Kazakhstan to Aksu-Zhabagly Nature Reserve, Zhabagly, Kazakhstan
Welcome to Taraz in the morning by your French-speaking guide. Town tour. Among the sites visited in and around town*: 1. Tekturmas which is located on a hill above the city where we learn the history before the founding of the Kazakh kingdom. 2. Karakhan Mausoleum. Karakhan is, according to legend, the beloved of Aicha Bibi and he governed the region. 3. The reconstruction of the ancient city Lunch in Taraz or on the road to the Aksou Jabagly reserve. 4. 25 km from Taraz, we visit the mausoleum of Aicha bibi and Babadja khatun which are part of the UNESCO heritage Then, the road takes us to the village located not far from the nature reserve where we have dinner and spend the night. *The Day 1 program will depend on the arrival time of travelers in Taraz.
Day 2: Aksu-Zhabagly Nature Reserve, Zhabagly, Kazakhstan to Shymkent, Kazakhstan
Breakfast. Departure for the Aksou canyon. Ride. Road to Shymkent. Lunch on the way. Road to Sairam. The old name of the city is Isfidjab which was located on the Silk Road. Visit to the mausoleum of the mother and father of Khodja Akhmet Yassawi, visit to the place where an old minaret is located – witness to an ancient era. Road to Shymkent. Dinner. Night at the hotel.
Day 3: Shymkent, Kazakhstan to Turkestan, Kazakhstan
Breakfast. Road to the ruins of Otrar, a city known during the Silk Road era. Visit to the reconstruction of the city and the mausoleum of the master of Khodja Akhmet Yassawi, Arystan bab. Road to Turkestan. Lunch in Turkestan. Visit to the mausoleum of Khodja Akhmet Yassawi. Dinner in Turkestan. Night at the hotel in Turkestan.
Day 4: Turkistan, Kazakhstan
Breakfast. Drive to Shymkent airport to take the flight to Astana or to Turkestan airport to take the flight to Istanbul. The departure time to Shymkent will depend on the flight time to Astana.
