5 Days Horse Trek In Hentii Mountain Range
About this tour
Hentii Mountain range horse riding place has a steppe for galloping, rocks, mountains, forest, and mud, river and bushes. All kinds of natural creatures are here. The riding is for medium to upper-level of horse riders. Due to the beautiful natural scene and rough road, we will always stay in tent, not in a nomadic family. Because we will get to the top of Altan Ulgii Mountain peak 2656 meters high. The daily ride will be 25-30 km according to your wishes. This specific area has no access to vehicle, so we will carry our luggage on horses.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Terelj, Mongolia
Day 1: Nomadic family visit, horse ride to Ar hurah valley Early in the morning driver and guide will pick you up and drive to the nomadic family through Terelj National Park 130 km. When we arrive at the family, we will visit the family and pack our 5 days' food, kitchen and tent and other stuff to the horses. Today we will ride in a plain area along with Terelj river. Here you can gallop. We will have a picnic lunch in outside. We will ride 25-30 km and in the evening camp outside, set up our tents, the cooker will cook dinner. Sleep in a tent.
Day 2: Terelj, Mongolia to Mungunmorit, Mongolia
Day 2: Horse ride to Altan Ulgii Mountain After breakfast, horse guides will pack our luggage to horses and mount on our horses. This riding place is rough Mountainous land with beautiful views. We will ride 3-4 hours and have lunch in outside and ride again. After riding 25- 30 km, set up tents and have dinner. In this place, we will stay for 2 nights.
Day 3: Mungunmorit, Mongolia to Terelj, Mongolia
Day 3: Horse ride to the peak of the Mountain Today we will leave here our tent and kitchen, and other stuff. Evening we will ride back to the camping place. We will ride to peak of the Mountain but on the top, we will walk 500 km because of safety. Beautiful natural scene from the peak, have lunch. Ride down to a camping place. Total ride 25-30 km.
Day 4: Terelj, Mongolia
Day 4: Horse ride through a plain area We will pack our luggage to horses and ride further. Today we can gallop on plain land. Picnic lunch and beautiful natural scenes. Sleep last night at tent.
Day 5: Terelj, Mongolia
Day 5: Horse ride, river crosses, stay in Terelj Lodge Today we will have our last day ride 25-30 km. To ride through fascinating nature that has three rivers crossing. We will see the view from a higher mountain. Also, we will gallop on plain land. Picnic lunch and arrive at nomadic family in the evening. We will say goodbye to our best friends lovely horses and horse guides. After, drive 50 km to Terelj Lodge, and have a fancy dinner, a hot shower and stay in Mongolian Ger Lodge. The lodge locates just in front of high rocks, and beautiful nature in Terelj National Park.
Day 6: Terelj, Mongolia
Day 6: Terelj Mountain temple, Chinggis Khan statue After breakfast, we will walk to Aryabal Mountain temple to see Terelj’s view. To climb Turtle shaped rock, see small cave there. Drive to Chinggis Khaan’s horse statue. This is the biggest horse statue in the world. You will see open empty steppe from top of the horse neck. Have a lunch in restaurant in statue complex. Evening, drive to Ulaanbaatar 100 km.
