About this tour
This 7-day adventure to four high-altitude lakes is a masterclass in the rugged, "innocent" beauty of the inner Tian Shan, designed specifically for those who want to leave the tourist crowds far behind. Your journey begins along the vibrant South Shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, Then, expedition pushes deep into the remote Song-Kul lake as well as Kok-Kiya Valley to reach the crown jewel of the frontier: Kel-Suu Lake. After exploring the wild borders, you will find serenity at the alpine Kol-Ukok Lake—the "lake in a chest"—hidden high above Kochkor.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Bishkek City, Kyrgyzstan to Issyk Kul, Kyrgyzstan
-Transfer to Issyk-Kul province passing Boom gorge -HIking in Kok-Moinok canyons -Eagle hunting show -overnight in a yurtcamp\guesthouse
Day 2: Issyk-Kul Region, Kyrgyzstan to Song-Kul, Kyrgyzstan
-Kalmak Ashuu Pass (3447m) -Horse riding after arrival at a yurt camp -Overnight in a Kyrgyz traditional yurt camp
Day 3: Naryn Region, Kyrgyzstan to Naryn, Kyrgyzstan
-Terkey Torpu pass (33 parrots) (3133m) -Hike to waterfall in the mouth of the pass for 15-20 min one way -Naryn city
Day 4: Naryn Region, Kyrgyzstan
-Cross Kyrgyz-Chinese border -Overnight in Kok-Kiya vallley (350m) at yurt camp or a guesthouse
Day 5: Kel-Suu At-Bashy, Kyrgyzstan to Naryn Region, Kyrgyzstan
-Hike to Kel-Suu lake. Duration: 2-2,5 h one way -Lunchbox -Overnight in Kok-Kiya - yurt camp or a guesthouse
Day 6: Naryn, Kyrgyzstan to Kochkor, Kyrgyzstan
-pass Dolon pass (3030m) -Lunch in Naryn city -Drive to Kol-Ukok lake -Overnight in Kochkor city
Day 7: Kochkor, Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
-Transfer to Bishkek passing Boom gorge.
