On our 7 Days Gallipoli & Turkey Classics Tour, you will be able to explore the main highlights of Turkey in 7 days with a departure and arrival to Istanbul. We will visit Gallipoli Battlefield on day 1 and keep travelling to the Ancient city of Troy and Pergamum as well. Afterwards, we discover the ancient city of Ephesus, the most important Greek city in Ionian Asia Minor, and the house of the Virgin Mary. Later we visit Pamukkale, which is a spectacular place, means “cotton castle”. The place is classified by UNESCO. And then we pass to Cappadocia via passing through Konya city which is a home town of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi. We will visit the Mevlana museum as well. Our Final destination is Cappadocia which is famous for its spectacular fairy chimneys, caves, and hot air balloon flights.
Early in the morning, pick up from your hotel and we depart for Gallipoli. We will have a short stop en route. The travel will continue to Eceabat where you will have lunch. After lunch, We visit will Brighton Beach, the intended landing place, Beach Cemetery on the southern tip, Anzac Cove, the landing place of the first wave of Australian and New Zealand troops and home to up to 30,000 troops during the campaign, Ariburnu Cemetery, Anzac Commemoration Site, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, site of the successful attack and capture of Turkish trenches by the Australians during the August offensive, Johnston’s Jolly, where there are the original Allied and Turkish trenches and tunnels, 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial, The Nek, and the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to Canakkale. Overnight in Canakkale Meals: & Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast, we depart to Troy. We will visit the model of the Trojan Horse, Sacrificial Altars, the 3700-year-old city walls, Houses of Troy I from 3000 – 2500 B.C., the Bouleuterion (Senate Building), the Odeon (Concert Hall), current excavations, remains of the various cities from Troy 1 through Troy IX. After Troy visit, we depart for Bergama. We will have lunch in Bergama and then depart for a fully guided Pergamon Acropolis tour. At Pergamon, the ancient world’s major power, you will visit the Acropolis, the ruins of Zeus Altar “Throne of Satan”, the Hellenistic Theatre which had a seating capacity of 10,000 people, the Great Library which held 200,000 books and Trojan, the Gymnasium situated on terraces, the lower Agora, Temple of Dionysus, Temple of Athena and Temple of Trojan. At the end of the tour, transfer to Kusadasi. Overnight in Kusadasi Meals: Breakfast & Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and see the Ancient Roman City of Ephesus, to explore the Arcadian Way, Roman Baths, Temple of Hadrian, the Celsius Library, and the Antique Theatre. In the afternoon visit the famous Sirince village with the cute village houses. At the end of the tour transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast, the first visit will be to Hierapolis, the ancient Greco-Roman city on top of hot springs. You will see the large necropolis, Great Baths, Frontinus Street, Theatre, Martyrion of St. Phillip, and the antique pool also known as Cleopatra’s pool. Finally be amazed by travertines, (the terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water) on which you can enjoy a barefooted walk. Dinner & overnight in Pamukkale. After breakfast, we depart for Cappadocia and on our route, we will visit the city of Konya, which is the home of the Whirling Dervishes, a religious order founded by the Sufi (Muslim sage), Mevlâna in the 13th century. We will visit Selimiye mosque and Mevlana Museum and transfer to your cave hotel in Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
You can book an early morning optional hot air balloon flight tour to enjoy the magnificent view of the valleys and the region by your guide. After breakfast, we will visit Devrent and Pasabagi valleys, to see the amazing fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. Then head to the pottery town of Avanos. Watch the potters at work using kick wheels, a technique that has remained unchanged for generations. After lunch, visit Goreme Open Air Museum for the world’s most important Byzantine cave churches and the best-preserved cave wall paintings and frescos. We will visit the Underground city and discover how people live there Finally, you will be driven to Uchisar Castle, the highest point of the region, where we will have a fabulous panoramic view over Cappadocia. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Cappadocia airport for your flight to Istanbul and upon arrival in Istanbul, our services will conclude. Meals: Breakfast
