Mehmet runs a small tour company based in Istanbul, operating trips across Turkey since 2021. He guides personally and works with a team of other guides and drivers to cover the rest of the country.
The range of trips he and his team put together is wide: Istanbul city highlights, Cappadocia and its hot air balloon landscape, Ephesus and Pamukkale on the Aegean side, and longer routes into the southeast to Mt. Nemrut, Gobekli Tepe, Sanliurfa and Mardin. There is also a dedicated food and wine tour through Istanbul and Thrace, and a Gallipoli and Troy route for those interested in the First World War battlefields. Most trips run between 5 and 10 days and combine several regions in one circuit.
Trips are private or small-group, with English-speaking guiding, private transport, and accommodation arranged in 3 to 4 star and cave hotels along the way. Mehmet and his team put together custom itineraries on request, including private vehicle and driver arrangements for travelers who want to design their own route through specific regions, such as the southeast around Mt. Nemrut.
He corresponds directly with travelers to plan the details before departure, adjusting the day-by-day plan to what they want to see and eat.

Mehmet was great, as was our driver. The only problem we had was that the trip specified that we'd visit the underground city in Cappadocia. I had been there before and wanted to take my wife there. It was to be one of the highlights of the trip. Unfortunately, that never happened, and I never received a valid reason for the omission. We arrived in Cappadocia around noon before the tour started and could easily have done the underground city then, but didn't because it was to be a tour highlight. That was the one very disappointing component of the trip, and I see that another review mentioned this omission as well.
