7 Days Istanbul Cappadocia Mt Nemrut Gobeklitepe Tour is a great combination of Istanbul, Cappadocia and the Eastern part of Turkey. This is an escorted tour covering Istanbul, Cappadocia, Mt.Nemrut, Gobekli Tepe and Sanliurfa. We will visit the highlights of Istanbul like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar. After you are amazed in Istanbul, take a flight to Cappadocia which is famous with hot air balloons and unique geography, you will visit the World's first temple Gobekli Tepe which is the oldest in the world. Afterward, we see the Statues at Mt. Nemrut's terraces, which will take you back to 109 BC–72 AD. The statues of gods placed in three directions of the tumulus are so fascinating that they are enough to be included in the UNESCO world heritage list. Then, you visit the cave where the prophet Abraham was born and you will not regret tasting delicious kebabs.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Istanbul Airport, Turkey to Sultanahmet, Turkey
Upon your arrival in Istanbul, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in the old city. A welcome package with tour vouchers, an Istanbul map, and any other touristic information will be waiting for you upon arrival at your hotel. You will be having a welcome meeting at the hotel with your guide and fellow guests at 7 pm. If you will be reaching to the hotel later than 7 pm, details will be given at your transfer. Day 2: İstanbul, Turkey to Sultanahmet Square, Turkey
Today you will have a full-day guided tour of the main highlights of Istanbul…We visit Topkapi Palace, built as an official residence and the seat of government during the Ottoman Empire. Lunch at a local restaurant then continues the city tour bring you to Blue Mosque, one of the most prominent landmarks of Istanbul. Continues to Hippodrome Square, former center of sportive and political activities of Constantinople. Next to The Hagia Sophia Mosque, is a former Eastern Orthodox Church converted to a mosque. Final visit to Grand Bazaar – one of the largest covered bazaars in the world. Overnight in Istanbul Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
Day 3: İstanbul, Turkey to Cappadocia, Turkey
After your breakfast, at your hotel, you will be transferred to the airport and take a flight to Cappadocia and upon arrival, welcome and transfer to your cave hotel. This afternoon, you can join an optional activity tour as ATV Safari or horse riding tours. Overnight in Cappadocia Meals: - Breakfast
Day 4: Cappadocia, Turkey
You can book an early morning optional hot air balloon flight tour to enjoy the magnificent view of the valleys and the region by your guide. After breakfast, we will visit Devrent and Pasabagi valleys, to see the amazing fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. Then head to the pottery town of Avanos. Watch the potters at work using kick wheels, a technique that has remained unchanged for generations. After lunch, visit Goreme Open Air Museum for the world’s most important Byzantine cave churches and the best-preserved cave wall paintings and frescos. We will visit the Underground city and discover how people live there Finally, you will be driven to Uchisar Castle, the highest point of the region, where we will have a fabulous panoramic view over Cappadocia. Day 5: Cappadocia, Turkey to Mount Nemrut, Turkey
Departure in the morning from Cappadocia, we cross the Tekir plateau towards Adiyaman and Mt Nemrut. Along the way, our first stop will be the Seljuk Karatay Caravansaray. The next stop will be Pinarbasi for a short tea break then onto Kahramanmaras which produces Turkey's best ice cream! From here we pass through Adiyaman and visit Arsemia, once the capital of the Commagene Kingdom, before continuing to the ancient Severus (Cendere) Bridge and the Karakus Tumulus where members of the royal family were buried. This evening we will go to Mt Nemrut, ascend the mountain, watch the magical sunrise over the plateau, and visit the massive ancient rock statues. After the sunset, we return to Adiyaman. Day 6: Göbeklitepe, Örencik, Turkey to Harran, Turkey
Today we drive to Sanliurfa, visiting Ataturk Dam, Turkey's largest, along. After a short break, we drive to Gobekli Tepe, predating Stonehenge by some 6,000 years, some believe it is the site of the world's oldest temple. Lunch will be in Sanliurfa and after lunch, we visit the Harran, a village of Mud-Brick "beehive" houses mentioned in the book of Genesis where Abraham spent the last years of his life. we will visit the ruins of Harran including city walls, the oldest Islamic university, and the castle dated to the eighteenth century. We then drive back to Sanliurfa where we will stay and you will have a chance to see Mevlid-i Halil Mosque, where you can see the Prophet Abraham Cave and the Pools of the Holy Carp surrounding it, then wander around the oriental covered bazaar. Day 7: Şanlıurfa, Turkey to İstanbul, Turkey
Departure from Sanliurfa for Gaziantep where you can see the famous Mosaic Museum, the largest in the world and home to the famous 'Gypsy Girl' mosaic. This museum exhibits superb mosaics discovered at the roman site of Belkis – Zeugma. End of the tour, we take a flight to Istanbul, and upon arrival to Istanbul our tour concludes.
