Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Depart Bishkek in the morning, driving south through scenic mountain passes and picturesque river valleys toward the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border. Complete border formalities and enter Uzbekistan’s historic Fergana Valley. Arrive in Andijan, check into your hotel, relax, and explore local street food. Overnight: Hotel in Andijan.
Day 2
An overland journey across southern Uzbekistan heading toward the ancient frontier city of Termez on the Afghan border. Enjoy changing arid landscapes, oasis towns, and regional roadside tea houses. Arrive in Termez by evening, settle into your hotel, and rest ahead of the border crossing. Overnight: Hotel in Termez.
Day 3: Кабул, Афганистан
Termez → Hairatan Border → Mazar-i-Sharif → Kabul (Afghanistan) Early morning transfer to the Termez–Hairatan border crossing. Cross the legendary Friendship Bridge across the Amu Darya River into Afghanistan. Complete border procedures and meet our Afghan transport and local coordination team. Drive through Mazar-i-Sharif, catch views of the turquoise minarets of the famous Blue Mosque (Hazrat Ali Shrine), and ascend through the breathtaking Hindu Kush mountain range via the Salang Pass (3,878 m). Descend into Kabul in the evening and check into a secure, comfortable hotel. Overnight: Hotel in Kabul.
Day 4: Кабул, Афганистан
A full guided exploration of Afghanistan's vibrant and historic capital. Visit the 16th-century Gardens of Babur (Bagh-e Babur), the National Museum of Afghanistan, and the ancient fortress walls of Bala Hissar. Stroll through the bustling Old City markets, meet local artisans, and sample authentic Afghan dishes like Kabuli Palaw. Overnight: Hotel in Kabul.
Day 5: Кабул, Афганистан
Continue exploring Kabul’s unique cultural tapestry. Visit the famous Ka Faroshi Bird Market hidden in the alleys of the old city, explore traditional carpet and copper bazaars, and drive up to Wazir Akbar Khan hill for panoramic 360-degree views overlooking the Kabul basin surrounded by rugged mountain ranges. Depart Kabul early in the morning, retracing the scenic drive back north through the Salang Tunnel and northern Afghan plains toward Hairatan. Cross the border back into Termez, Uzbekistan. Relax after the journey and enjoy a quiet evening in Termez. Overnight: Hotel in Termez.
Day 7
Drive back through southern and eastern Uzbekistan across the Fergana Valley. Enjoy leisurely stops for melon markets, local kebabs, and photos. Settle in for your final evening in Andijan. Overnight: Hotel in Andijan.
Day 8
Cross the border back into Kyrgyzstan and enjoy the scenic drive through Toktogul Reservoir and Too-Ashuu Pass back to Bishkek. Drop-off at your hotel or airport in Bishkek. Tour concludes.

*Tashkent Start & Finish Option:* We can also easily start and end this expedition directly in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. We meet your group upon arrival in Tashkent, drive south to Termez, cross into Afghanistan (Mazar-i-Sharif & Kabul), and return you safely back to Tashkent.
