This short trip will take you to the safest part of Afghanistan which borders with the Pamirs of Tajikistan.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Khorog, Tajikistan to Eshkashem, Afghanistan
Meet with a driver and head towards the Tajik-Afghan border crossing in Ishkashim. We will reach the border check-post in 2.5 hours, cross into Afghanistan. After lunch in a café in Eshkashem town, we will discover the local bazaar, buy some souvenirs. After that we will drive outside the town to see the famous shrine. Drive to the Afghan-Tajik border. Cross into Tajikistan. Drive to Khorog. On the way we will make a side trip to soak in a hot spring in Garm-Chashma. Dinner in a restaurant in Khorog. Transfer to the guest-house in Khorog. End of trip.
