Discover a more personal side of Bhutan with Tashi Dorji, an independent Bhutanese guide with over 20 years of experience.
This experience is for curious travellers who want to go beyond the standard sightseeing itinerary and understand Bhutan through its people, culture, history and landscapes. This journey is designed as a private and personalized experience, with flexibility to adapt the pace and activities to your interests. Bhutan is a Himalayan country with mountainous terrain, winding roads and changing weather conditions. Some days involve walking and moderate uphill or downhill sections, so a reasonable level of fitness is recommended. Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are essential. Please bring a reusable water bottle, sun protection and layers suitable for changing temperatures. Visitors should also be respectful of Bhutanese customs and dress appropriately when visiting monasteries, temples and other religious sites. Most importantly, come with an open mind and curiosity. Bhutan is best experienced slowly — through its people, culture, landscapes, stories and everyday way of life. I will be happy to adapt the journey around your interests and make your time in Bhutan as personal and meaningful as possible.
