Charyn canyon, Kolsay & Kaindy Lakes some of the most picturesque places and best trips in Almaty region. A lot of visitors of Charyn then sayed that they saw in Kazakhstan small copy of the Grand Canyon. Kaindy Lake - it is amazing sunken forest which was frozen under the cold mountain water. Another fantastic place in the mountains - Kolsay lakes.
1 day: start at 7 am. Visit the Charyn canyon. Trekking 2,5 hours to the river. Then get to the Kaindy lake. Light trekking to the lake. Get to guests house of Saty village for a night. In Kaindy gorge, a unique farm was built in our region. They breed Angus cows there. It is famous for its special "marble" meat. Deliveries of this meat are mainly abroad and to luxury restaurants and hotels in Kazakhstan. Movement along the gorge directly to the lake passes along a gravel road, where we cross the river twice by car. On the way there is a lot of sea buckthorn, barberry, raspberry. And also we pass the famous birch grove of Russian birch trees.
2 day: start at 8 am and get to Kolsai lake 1. After hiking to the Kolsay 2 near 7 km in one direction. In evening back to Saty village for overnight in guesthouse. On the beautiful Kolsay lake you can go boating and try to swim in a cold mountain water. On the way we can see farm animals horses, sheeps, cows. Wild animals and birds like golden eagles, jerboa, partridge and etc.
day: start at 8 am and arrive to the Turgen gorge to see the waterfall Aysai. It takes near of 2 hours to get to place closer to the waterfall Aysai. Walking through the grove to the waterfall near 1.5 km. One of the most popular tourist routes in the Almaty region is the Turgen gorge, the Turgen waterfalls and the open-air museum Altyn Adam ( Golden Man).
For overnight possible to choose the guesthouse or yurt if good weather.
Additional options are boating and horse riding. You can pay additional case directly at the place.
In winter possible to organise this trip, but lakes and waterfall are frozen. And Views are amazing
