Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar to Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa), Mongolia
Day 1: Tsagaan suvraga Morning, driver and guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive to Middle Gobi. Today, drive longer (5-6 hours) than the other days. Have lunch in Mandalgobi town. Afternoon we will arrive at the destination. Little hike through Tsagaan suvraga. On the way, we will see folk of camels, sheep, goat and horses the main animals of nomadic herders. Relax hotel at the open steppe. Road length: 470 km
Day 2: Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa), Mongolia to Bayanzag, Bulgan, Mongolia
Day 2: Rock painting-black Gobi; Bayanzag Today is a long trip day. First, we will visit the rock painting then to Bayanzag. There are various of petroglyphs from Bronze-Age in the empty steppe. The picture shows us their life activities such as hunting ibexes and primitive people dancing in a group. Apart from the painting, the environment and nature is a completely mind-blowing area. Some people say it is like the other planet. The rocks are soft, black and preserved for a million years. You will search for many carved pictures here. Bayanzag After visiting rock painting, we drive to Flaming Cliff. We will have lunch on the way in Dalanzadgad town at a restaurant. Cliff was the homeland of dinosaurs during the Jurassic period. Dinosaur’s eggshell was founded very first time in the world from this place. Bayanzag is red cliffs on the endless empty steppe. I was bottom of the sea or big lake during the Jurassic era. Day 3: Flaming Cliffs, Mongolia to Hongorïn Els, Mongolia
Day 3: Hongor sand dunes; camel ride We will drive through wild mountains to Hongor Sand dunes. And there are barren black mountains, lush steppe, the ground covered with wind-eroded black pebbles on the way. You will discover the wilderness of the Gobi Desert. And some nomadic family’s winter place and camels will be seen on the way. Over 3 hours’ drive, we will arrive at the Tourist Ger camp. After lunch, you will ride a camel in front of the dunes. Afternoon or evening, when the bright sun gets down, we will climb to the sand dune. The top of the dune is over 200 meters high. It is steep and loose. Climbing up to the top will need a little bit of effort. After the little challenge, you will see brilliant sightseeing from the top of the dune. Sand dunes and rocky mountain locate simultaneously in the endless lush steppe. Going down is more easy and fun. Relax in the tourist Ger camp. Road length 155 km
Day 4: Hongorïn Els, Mongolia to Yoliin Am Canyon, Mongolia
Day 4: Yoliin am; visit a nomadic family and optional horse riding in valley Morning, we will drive along with sand dune and Three Beauty Mountain range by off-road. On the way, we will visit the Gobi’s nomadic family. The family in the Gobi desert, move more frequently than the other places. They search for water and grass for their goat, sheep and camel. So they live very simply with the small stuff. Because it is difficult to move by camel caravan with lots of furniture. We will have a traditional milk dairy product in a family. After the visit, have lunch in a restaurant in Gobi small village. When we arrive at Yoliin am, we will visit the Gobi - natural museum. Hike through beautiful meadow valley, stream, and gorge. The birded vulture on the huge rocks, pikas on the green land will entertain you through hiking. Gorge is narrow as just 3 or 4 people go through at the same time. Optional horse riding is possible here in the mountain. Relax in Ger camp. Road length 170 km
Day 5: Yoliin Am Canyon, Mongolia to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, Mongolia
Day 5 Baga gazriin chuluu After breakfast at the camp, we will drive to Baga gazriin chuluu. This place is 35 km2 granite stone plain. The rocks are like grown layer on layer. Beautiful nature to hike. We will visit a small cave, tiny ruined temple in the rocky valley. This place has Argali wild sheep. We will arrive at the destination afternoon after lunch. Road length 420 km
Day 6: Baga Gazriin Chuluu, Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Day 6: Drive to Ulaanbaatar We will drive to Ulaanbaatar. Have lunch in Ulaanbaatar. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar around 13 PM. Road length 270 km

We stay 5 nights at the Mongolian Ger camp resorts with hot shower, comfortable beds. Our chosen camps are clean, facilitated as 3-4 star hotels and located isolated in the middle of nowhere. They serve us with delicious, fresh food. Our driver and guides, camp's stuff are trained by cultural value-based customer service. Guide is trained specifically by cultural knowledge. We will cross Mongolian Gobi by air-conditioned, comfortable 4 WD starex car. The driver is experienced in non-signed countryside road.
What to know
For clothes in summer: When you are traveling by camps a lot of clothes are not necessary. • Sweater or fleece jacket for hike in Yoliin am. • Short or pants for climb up to sand dunes. • Boots or sneakers for hike, climb up to sand dune and camel trek. • Flipflop or sandal in car an Ger camp. Gears to pack: • Protection from bright sun: Sun glasses, hut, sun cream • Bus pillow if necessary (Morning hours 3-4 hours will be spent in the car) • Eye mask and ear plugs • Protection from bright sun.
