Iskanderkul is one of the most visited place of Tajikistan. It's the biggest lake of Fann mountains. Iskanderkul has a lot of lagends which most of dedicated to the Alexander the Great.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Dushanbe, Tajikistan to Iskanderkul, Tajikistan
Welcome to Tajikistan. Meeting you at the airport, transfer to the hotel, in the morning meet in the hotel, drive towards north via Warzob gorge, Warzob is a place where people from Dushanbe come for leisure. After Warzob we getting to Anzob pass, before the tunnel from the top is amazing viewpoint. Getting to Fann mountains region, taking detour to Iskanderkul lake. Activities: Hiking towards Snake lake, 2 minutes hike from Iskanderkul, on the top is amazing view point of Iskanderkul lake. Then 30 minutes hike to Waterfall & during summer time its quite impressive. Hike around Iskanderkul lake, drive further up to Saratoq village to observe traditional lifestyle of local people. Lunch in traditional house, tradtional food. Back to Dushanbe 4& half hours.
