Dushanbe Private Walking Tour

Day 1: Dushanbe, Tajikistan

Meeting with your tour guide at your hotel/place as per preferred time (meeting time can be agreed after you book the tour). And start sightseeing. We have enough time to discover Dushanbe deeply. Start from downtown and end up in Mehrgon Bazaar. Places you visit today: • Rudaki Park: The most beautiful park in Dushanbe is located next to the National Museum. Visit Somoni monument and walk along the biggest library of Central Asia. Park tree-lined paths have everything from the Palace of Nations (where the president works) to eccentric things like the second tallest flagpole in the world. Visit the museum after visiting the museum, but be aware that the park really comes alive at night. • National Museum: The museum has several interesting collections that you will enjoy: some frescoes from Old Panjakent and the entire top floor with unique works by Tajik artists • Navruz Palace: A royal palace that hasn't been seen anywhere else, with incredible decoration inside. • Independence Square: a new park with a 124-meter tower. From the top of the tower you can see the whole city of Dushanbe and its surroundings. The park and the tower were built in honor of the 32nd anniversary of the Independence of Tajikistan. It is currently considered the most beautiful park in Tajikistan. • Mehrgon Bazaar: A large bazaar in the north of the city where you can buy everything from diced fresh carrots to stuffed dried dates.
