About this tour
On this tour you will be stay 3 days in a eagle hunters family and take photography of the Eagle hunter, visit the Altai Tavan Bogd Mountains, climb to Malchin peak.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Uujim, Mongolia
rrive to Ulgii city. Drive to Eagle hunters family. Today you will get acquainted with the traditions and customs of the Kazakh people, especially with the unique art of hunting with golden eagles and the life of nomads. Try national tea with milk and natural dairy products. Overnight in the yurt. Dinner.
Day 2: Uujim, Mongolia

Day 4: Uujim, Mongolia to Алтай таван богд цагаан голын пост, Mongolia
Visit to the Altai Tavan Bogd national park, Tsagaan gol valley. Tsagaan-gol in translation means the White River, this is a summer pasture valley of nomadic Tuvan peoples. Overnight in the ger (180km, 7-8 hours drive). B.L.D.
Day 5: Алтай таван богд цагаан голын пост, Mongolia to Altai Mountains Base camp
Today we'll load our equipment and food on camels and we will go 16 km to the Base Camp 2900 m above sea level, on a horseback. Here, we'll set up camp at the Base Camp next to Potanin Glacier – the largest glacier in Mongolian Altai. (20 km long). We will camp here for two nights to enjoy the stunning spectacle which is Tavan Bogd. Overnight in tents. B.L.D.
Day 6: Altai Mountains Base camp to Malchin Peak, Mongolia
Today we'll climb Malchin Peak (non-technical) 4050 m above sea level and enjoy the beautiful views of majestic mountains Russia and China from a distance. It takes 7- 8 hours to climb up and down from peak. Overnight in tents. B.L.D.
Day 7: Malchin Peak, Mongolia to Ulgii, Mongolia
After early breakfast we will go back to Tagaan gol valley on horseback. After lunch back to Ulgii. Visit to my home. Here you are treated to the national dish “Beshbarmak", which every hospitable Kazakh people treat their most honored guests. Overnight in my apartment. B.L.D.
