I am a Russian language teacher by profession. I am a wife and mother of 3 children. We traveled to Mongolia for two weeks in July. We flew into Ölgii in western Mongolia, where Akhbupye was waiting with a well-prepared Toyota Land Cruiser. From there, we headed toward the Aral Tolgoi region near the Chinese border. Akhbupye was incredibly thorough in her preparations. We stayed in traditional nomadic Gers, and thanks to the portable bed, mattress, and sleeping bag she prepared in the car, the nights were surprisingly comfortable. After three days of exploring western Mongolia, we returned to Ölgii city. Fortunately, Akhbupye runs a two-bedroom apartment right in the city center. The location was excellent, and the apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped — a perfect place to relax and recharge after the trip. From Ölgii to Ulaanbaatar, we traveled over 1,700 kilometers across four days, stopping at places like Kharkhorin along the way. Although it was a long journey, the vehicle was very comfortable, and the driver was kind and easygoing, which made the experience enjoyable and smooth. After such a great trip, I’m sure that if I travel to Mongolia again, I’ll definitely choose IndyGuide and ask for Akhbupye as my guide once more.

We contacted Akhbupye to arrange an 8-day trek through the Altai Mountains followed by 2 days of Naadam in Ulgii, and we had an amazing time. She planned a great itinerary, put together an experienced and well-qualified team to guide us, and met us at the airport to introduce us to the team before we set out. The hike was challenging but every day we looked forward to a delicious dinner, with dishes like dumplings, khushuur, and mutton soup, and we had comfortable bedding in a sturdy tent. A highlight was climbing Malchin Peak - it's really hard but worth all the effort to see the view from the top! Seeing Naadam in our guide's own hometown was pretty special, and he gave us insights that an out-of-town guide would not have been able to provide. I would definitely work with Akhbupye again if I get the chance to return to western Mongolia.

We took a 15-day trip through northern and western Mongolia, with every detail organized by Akhbupye, who provided us with full support throughout the tour and even afterward. Our trip was excellent; everything went perfectly. The landscapes are fantastic in these regions, and encounters with nomadic horse breeders, reindeer herders, and eagle hunters provided us with unique experiences. Our guide (Shokhan), our driver (Iska), and our cook (Alma) were sensational. Everything we needed was provided, despite the extra work we put in, as we are vegetarians and freeze to death like Brazilians unaccustomed to temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius. We spent our first 4 days camping in impressive scenery by lakes/mountains and Akhbupye arranged a nice apartment stay for us at the end, which was just what we needed to cleanup and reorganize. Along the way we met an eagle hunter family who were very warm and welcoming. The trip also included a horse ride, which we thoroughly enjoyed for our first time riding a horse. In March 2025 we embarked on a 27 day trip in Mongolia arranged by Akhbupye. Akhbupye was meticulous in planning the trip, listening to what my requirements were and ensuring that I am in safe hands. She received me at the airport, introduced me to the crew and what a wonderful crew it was! I was travelling solo, with a driver, a cook and a guide/ translator. The driver and the cook were a couple - one of the sweetest one I have ever seen. The guide was super helpful as well. They were knowledgeable about the areas, the weather, and took steps/ change in plans in accordance with changes in weather patterns - This is very crucial in Mongolia as there are hardly any roads in the outskirts. The drivers follow treks/ paths from their experience. However, in case of a blizzard, the treks could easily disappear under snow and all you have then in front of you is a vast land with no path. This was one of most unforgettable trips of my life.. and if I ever return to Mongolia, I'll contact Akhbupye for sure. We met again at the airport while departing and I am really grateful for all the care she poured into the arrangement. Highly recommended!

Amazing, once in a lifetime experience facilitated expertly by Akhbupye! From the beginning to the end, the trip went smoothly and without any issues. Akhbupye is very accommodating and always went the extra mile to make sure our group was taken care of. Even when there was an issue with currency conversion she went out of her way to correct the issue herself so that our group did not have to spend time away from excursions. The guide she arranged, Asaan, was just perfect and so knowledgeable about the region and Mongolia, and it did not feel like we were just being shepherded around like children to all of the routine spots, as I have noticed a lot of tour guides tend to do with tourists... He took us to the areas the locals go and was a very adaptive guide - definitely ask for him when you go! The whole experience was almost too good, because we visited Bayan-Olgii at the beginning of our 2-week trip to Mongolia and our experience with Akhbupye set the bar very high... we learned shortly afterward that not all tour operators in Mongolia are as thorough or organized as her! Our eagle hunter migration trip includes a guide, a cook and a driver. They are a wonderful team in many ways and always help out the hunter family (which is not their duties but I respect it). They tried to make our life there as comfortable as possible. Our guide is called Beck and speaks perfect English. Our host family Bazarban really made us feel at home. We rode horses together, sang together and played many games. I highly recommend this experience. And to be honest, winter is a lot of fun. I have been to the area in summer but in winter it is a whole new world to explore.

"Bupye is simply the best guide in West Mongolia! In June 2023, my wife and I travelled with Bupye for 7 days throughout West Mongolia and we had one of the best travel experiences of our lives. From the very first messages, Bupye showed her professionalism, assertiveness and intense care. She answered all of our messages and helped us even before we decide to choose her as our guide (for example, she helped us with the purchase of AeroMongolia's flight tickets, since it is quite hard to do it if you are a foreigner and don't speak the local language). Before deciding exactly where to go, she was very open-minded towards our suggestions, trying to fit our needs and always giving her professional and experienced input. Concerning the trip itself, since she knows a lot of people in the region, we could sleep with two different Eagle Hunter families, in two beautiful and distant locations. It was amazing to experience a little bit of their daily lives! Also, the kids are welcoming and so extremely cute! Important to say that, because we didn't have sleeping bags and gloves with us, she kindly lent them during the whole extent of our trip. Also, Bupye cooks very well! So, if you read online that Mongolian food is not easy for Westerners, you can totally relax in this matter with Bupye. She cooks different food everyday and it is really good! Although redundant, we should reaffirm that Bupye is always very attentive to the travellers' needs and one can really see that she genuinely aims to provide the best service/experience to the tourist (the few of us fortunate enough to visit this unique and exquisite part of the world: West Mongolia). All in all, she is such a humble person, a very professional woman and mother, that works hard, with the sole intention of providing the best experience to her guests. And she succeeds! From the bottom of our heart, we recommend travelling to West Mongolia (it's much more beautiful than in the pictures) and, mainly, travel with our lovely Bupye! Believe us, you won't regret!

I have not used any travel guide before in all of the 32 countries that I've visited so far, but Akhbupye curated a plan that is extremely hard to say no to, and how extremely grateful I am for her and her team for this life changing trip! It's quite possibly the best trip that I've ever experienced. From the planning part (since a year before the trip), how swift she is with every single detail, helped out in booking the domestic flights, helped in checking the tourist visas issues before the trip, and during the trip itself she's very quick in adjusting the plans when the weather is not suitable for migration. I can’t say enough great things about my time in Mongolia and that is due to Akhbupye and the amazing tour she managed for me. I was initially attracted to her tour that was 20 day photo tour and included all the key spots in Mongolia that are far apart. In the end I only had 10 days and I let her know what I wanted to see most and stated it was important that families really like meeting and sharing their lifestyle and traditions w foreigners. She set me up w an amazing driver Nurbek and fabulous guide Badmaarag. At the end of a week they felt like family. Each ger/yurt I went to went above and beyond to welcome and include me in their daily activities and make sure I was comfortable. Mongolians and Kazakhs really take hosting to another level. The last night I stayed w Akhbupye and her family. They went to such lengths to recreate the Nauryz festival ( which happened over a month ago) by inviting family over, all dressing in traditional holiday clothes, cooking traditional dinner and having musicians! It was such an effort to go to so I could be part and learn of their traditions …. I have never had someone go to such lengths. It moved me to tears that someone I did not know would do that much for me. The throat singer, shaman and eagle hunters were all amazing to see and just experiencing the nomadic as well as modern lifestyle of the Mongolians. This was truly an amazing experience I will always remember and cherish and that is because Akhbupye really desires to make your trip special. I have traveled to over 40 countries and her attention to detail is unique. My wife and I traveled to Mongolia for an entire month to celebrate a late honeymoon. We have traveled all over the world and Mongolia has been our favorite place to visit. We had already been traveling for about two weeks in the desert region before we met Akhbupye. Her English was very good, which was refreshing and not easy to find in Mongolia. We loved being able to talk with the locals and she made that possible by translating for us. It made things much more enjoyable when we could actually communicate back and forth with someone so knowledgeable about the area. She is a wonderful, caring guide who always went the extra mile and made our experience in Mongolia much better. One of the most beautiful sights in all of Mongolia would be the glacier views in the Western region where she took us. She is practically a mountain goat, very capable at hiking and just an all around nice person to have as traveling company. She was flexible and easy going. We were 6 people and we booked a trip to the eagle hinter village. Our guide was Boope and she was amazing! We would give her 10 from 10 points! She helped us wherever she can, explained to us everything in perfect English and cooked us very delicious dishes. One of our friends is vegetarian and she cooked also for him extra yummy dishes. We all are very satisfied and would come again to take a trip with the lovely Boope.
