Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Baga Gazariin Chuluu, Mongolia

First day of our tour we will head about 130 km to southern Mongolia where we start our Gobi tour by Baga gazriin chuluu. Baga Gazriin Chuluu is a unique rock formation located in the Gobi Desert. The formation is made up of a variety of granite boulders that have been eroded by wind and water over millions of years. The boulders are arranged in a maze-like pattern, creating a stunning landscape that is perfect for hiking and exploring. Hiking There are a variety of hiking trails that wind through Baga Gazriin Chuluu. The trails range in difficulty from easy to strenuous, so there is something for everyone. Hikers can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape, as well as the opportunity to see wildlife up close. Campfire and Stargazing In the evening, guests of the ger camp can enjoy a campfire and stargazing. The clear skies of the Gobi Desert provide the perfect opportunity to see the stars in all their glory. We will stay the night at the nomadic family ger.

Day 2: Baga Gazariin Chuluu, Mongolia to Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa), Mongolia

Tsagaan Suvarga is a natural wonder located in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia. It is a series of white sandstone formations that rise up to 1,600 feet above the desert floor. The formations are said to be the remains of an ancient seabed. Hiking to the top of the formations: The hike to the top of Tsagaan Suvarga is a steep and challenging climb, but the views from the top are well worth it. From the top, you can see the vastness of the Gobi Desert and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. We will stay the night at the nomadic family ger.

Day 3: Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa), Mongolia to Yolin Am Ice Field, Mongolia

Yol Valley, also known as Yolyn Am, is a deep, narrow mountain gorge located in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park of Mongolia. The valley is home to a variety of wildlife, including argali sheep, ibex, and snow leopards. Yol Valley is also known for its stunning scenery, including towering sandstone cliffs, frozen waterfalls, and clear blue lakes. Hiking: The hiking trails in Yol Valley range from easy to challenging. The easiest trails are located near the entrance to the valley. The more challenging trails lead to the top of the sandstone cliffs Wildlife watching: The best time to go wildlife watching in Yol Valley is during the morning and evening. This is when the animals are most active. We will stay the night at the nomadic family ger.

Day 4: Yolin Am Ice Field, Mongolia to Hongorïn Els, Mongolia

Khongor Sand Dune is one of the largest and most impressive sand dunes in Mongolia. It is located in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park, about 763 km from Ulaanbaatar. The dune is about 180 km long and 27 km wide, and it can reach heights of up to 300 meters. Hiking: The dune is a popular destination for hikers. There are a number of hiking trails to choose from, ranging from easy to challenging. Camel riding: Camel riding is a great way to experience the desert. Camels are well-suited to the harsh conditions of the desert and can carry heavy loads for long distances. Camel rides typically last for about an hour. Stargazing: The Gobi Desert is one of the best places in the world to stargaze. The night sky is clear and free from light pollution. You can see the Milky Way and millions of stars with the naked eye. We will stay the night at the nomadic family ger.

Day 5: Khongoriin Els, Mongolia to Ikh bogd uuliin ovoo, Их богд уул, Bayankhongor, Mongolia

Ikh Bogd is the highest mountain in the Gobi Altai Mountains and is located in the Bayankhongor Province in Mongolia. It has an elevation of 3,957 metres (12,982 ft) above sea level. Rocky peaks loom over changing landscapes that are ideal for archaeological explorations, bird watching, wildlife viewing, hiking and mountain climbing. Of its many peaks, canyons, and valleys, one of the province's most revered sites is the highest in the Gobi Altai range. Other notable attractions include BICHIGT KHAD, a worldclass petroglyphic site, whose rock paintings date back to the Bronze age. We will stay the night at the nomadic family ger.

Day 6: Ikh bogd uuliin ovoo, Их богд уул, Bayankhongor, Mongolia to Orog Lake, Mongolia

Orog Nuur is a lake located in the Bogd District of Bayankhongor Province, Mongolia. It is situated at an altitude of 1,216 m above sea level. The lake is fed by the waters of the Tüyn Gol river and has a surface area of 130 km². The shores of the lake are low and sandy, with salt marshes in some places. The water in the lake is fresh or salt, depending on the amount of rainfall. The lake is frozen from November to April. We will stay the night at the nomadic family ger.

Day 7: Orog Nuur, Mongolia to Shargaljuut, Mongolia
