Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Tbilisi airport to Elea Old Tbilisi Hotel, Region, Georgia

Arrival Tbilisi, Welcome To Tbilisi - Pick-up from the airport and your adventure begins! The city that will stay in your mind and heart forever! Overnight – Tbilisi While in Tbilisi, you should definitely visit the most well-known and popular tourist attraction in the city – “Meidan”. This place sweeps you off from your feet and throws you back to the middle ages, while being in the present at the same time. This is one of the oldest parts of the city, colorful, old houses from medieval ages, narrow cobblestone streets with cute cafes and shops all around make you want to stay there forever and explore every little detail of the new world you’ve just teleported into! Leghvtakhevi Canyon and Waterfall,Carpet Shop,Churchkhela Shop. Narikala castle is another Gem of Tbilisi. The castle dates back as far as 4th century. The stunning castle overlooks river “Mtkvari”, colorful, old houses and lovely streets of Tbilisi. Wine cellar with delicious liquids send by God. The famous Gogirdi Thermal Spas are located in one of the oldest part of the city, “Abanotubani”. The place itself is very interesting with its history and sightseeing. Cute shops for tourists are also all around! We will visit the Bridge of Peace. This bridge is considered one of the modern architectural sights of Tbilisi. Mtatsminda funicular-Visit Bombora Park which is located on a hill in the western part of the city. This is the best place to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Day 2: kvareli to Winery Khareba • ყვარლის გვირაბი, Kvareli, Georgia

In order to fully understand the importance of wine to this country, we’ve got to time travel for a little. Now, imagine life 8000 years ago - this is the time when people still used just stone and bone tools. Meanwhile in a small village of mountainous country, Georgian stone-age farmers were creating a magical liquid, also known as wine. We go to the city of love – AKA Sighnaghi. Well, did you know that in Georgia there’s a city literally called “The city of love”? Now, imagine how exquisite will it feel to spend your holiday in the city of love. The city, Signagi, is this teeny-tiny, cutest and coziest little place located on top of the mountain, with the most spectacular view. Day 3: Sevan to Dilijan, Armenia

Tbilisi –Dilijan-Sevan 250 km The most wonderful time of the year in the most wonderful place of the world. Overnight Sevan. You take a trip to Georgia board /about 1.5 hour/. Please note that while border crossing procedure usually goes fast, there is a chance that the border procedure will be delayed up to several hours. On your way to Sevan you will visit Alaverdi region. After we will continue our tour to Dilijan, city tour, later Lake Sevan, which is the largest body of water in Armenia and the Caucasus region.

Day 4: Yerevan to Yerevan, Armenia

Sevan – Yerevan city tour: Victory park and Mother Armenia,Matenadaran Museum,Cascade complex ,Genocide monument, Ararat brandy factory, Opera and Ballet Theater, Mashtots Avenue, and Republic Square . 120 km Overnight Yerevan Drive to Yerevan Will start Yerevan tour It is important to note that Cascade does not merely refer to this colossal stairway. The whole district, or rather the “patio”, that lies behind Yerevan’s chief architect Alexander Tamanian’s statue, is the very Cascade we know. It is from that wide hallway-patio that you get the feeling of what Cascade is all about – modern art. During World War I, the troops of the Ottoman Turkey carried out a great crime – the massacre killings. Intentional extermination of Armenians by the Turks began in 1915 and had lasted for several years (some facts point that it was until 1923). During this time, more than 1,5 million people of the Armenian nation were killed (it was about 2 million Armenians in total residing on the territory of the Ottoman Empire at that time). The remained half million fled trying to look for a new refuge in other countries. You can taste famous Armenian brandy

Day 5: Garni to Areni Wine Factory, Areni, Armenia

Yerevan - Garni temple –Areni winery 300 km Overnight Yerevan 10:00 – In the morning we will drive East of Armenia. On the way we will have a short stop near to Charenc Arch and then will visit pagan Garni temple from the 1st century AD, which along with Geghard monastery was included in the list of UNESCO world heritage sites. We will continue our way to Areni factory which is located in VayotsDzor province, the important winemaking area to have Armenian cuisine and taste wine. Day 6: Gyumri, Armenia to Akhaltsikhe, Georgia

Yerevan- APARAN bakery –Gyumri-Vardzia(Georgia) 320 km Overnight Vardzia In the morning we will drive APARAN bakery. You take a trip to Gyumri, considered second town after Yerevan, its known as black town, is still rebuilding after Spitak earthquake, visit Abovyan main street, vartanants square, sev berd, Gyumri market, Rijkov street&Kumayri historic district, soviet monuments. Day 7: Vardzia to Kutaisi, Georgia

Vardzia-Rabati-Borjomi-Kutaisi Overnight kutaisi 10:00 – Trip to Rabati Castle, it is a fortress built in the 9th century. The fortress has been destroyed and seized by enemies many times, as a result, the place has become a dwelling for different cultures and religions, which you can sense deeply absorbed in the walls of the fortress. The first mosque in Rabati was built by Ottomans in 1752. In 2012, a reconstruction of the fortress took place and it became like a small town. Rabati is not only a historical monument, but a cultural city center, too. You can see the church, mosque, synagogue, museum, park, various tourist shops, and hotels while traveling back in time and feeling like you’re a resident of an ancient town. Your exploration continues in Vardzia, which is another gem of Samtskhe-Javakheti. Dating back to the 12th century, it’s a cave city that stretches along the cliff for approximately about 500 meters, and is up to nineteen tiers. There, you can see the church of the dormition dating back to 1180, the golden age of Queen Tamar, and aged paintings on the wall. A fascinating fact about the place is that five monks still live in the mountain, and every morning at 7 am they ring the church bell in the high arch. The cave city is wonder waiting to be explored by you. The tour has a relaxing part, your journey to exquisite, breathtakingly beautiful Borjomi, where you will stay for a night at spa hotel. While in Borjomi, you will visit the central park, dating back to 1850, this park offers stunning landscapes along with tourist attractions. Day 8: Martvili to Nokalakevi, Jikha, Georgia

Day 10: Kazbegi to Gergeti Trinity Church, Oni, Georgia
