Golden Gobi Tour
About this tour
exploring and discovering Mongolian great gobi desert, there are amazing activities in the desert such as camelriding, sandsledding over sanddune,hiking through huge canyon. Gobi desert is very large , so we should 3-4 hours, some day 5-6 hours.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa), Mongolia
This day driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel or hostel. Then start the trip.From Ulaanbaatar to Tsagaan suvarga 430km on paved road, normally it takes 5-6 hours driving. Normally we get there afternoon. Then we check in our ger camp in 5-6km away from our destination. We could get little relax and we go to our destination Tsagaan suvarga.
Day 2: Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa), Mongolia to Yoliin Am Canyon, Mongolia
In the morning, we will wake up in Mongolian ger of silence desert. After breakfast we continue the tour to the great canyon "yolin" am. We will drive on paved road ,it takes around 3-4 hours. This day we have hiking in the great canyon, visit to the museum of gobi. Overnight we stay in ger camp.
Day 3: Yoliin Am Canyon, Mongolia to Khongoriin Els, Mongolia
Today we drive to great sanddune "khongoriin els". This is the most beautifull and well-known area. We only drive on wild road. Drive around 3 hours to get there. we check in ger camp. Then we have camelriding, sandledding in the sand slope. We could cook Mongolian BBQ "khorkhog".
Day 4: Khongoriin Els, Mongolia to Ongi Monastery, Mongolia
If you get up early in the morning , you would have possibility to take pictures of amazing views in this area. Then after breakfast we drive to flamming cliffs, but it's also called " bayanzag" by locals. it's around 130km from sanddune. only wild road. Flamming cliffs is well-known as a place of dinosaurs' bones and eggs were founded. The view is look like red walls of cliffs. After that we keep driving to ongi monastery around 150km . Then we explore the many ruins of Buddhist temple, museums. Overnight is in a guesthouse.
Day 5: Ongi Monastery, Mongolia to Kharkhorin, Mongolia
This morning we leave Mongolian gobi desert to ancient Capital kharkhorum. There we explore some historical heritages, and some cultural & historical monuments , also kharkhorum new museum and erdenezuu monastery.
Day 6: Kharkhorin, Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
This day we leave to Ulaanbaatar ,it would take around 4 hours to Ulaanbaatar. We drop off you at your hotel.
