We arranged a short eight-day trip to southern Mongolia with Muugii, focusing on the Gobi region. We had a UAZ vehicle with a driver who picked us up at the airport. The vehicle was clean and efficient, the driver was excellent, and the entire agreed-upon itinerary was followed. The price was reasonable and in line with expectations. Highly recommended.

Munkhbat organized our trip to explore the Gobi Desert and central Mongolia excellently and the Lexus 470 he provided was very comfortable. Accommodation in the ger tents of real nomads wasn't always comfortable, but it gave us a glimpse into the lives of Mongolian nomadic herders. None of this would have been possible if we had stayed in tourist camps, which offer a completely distorted view of nomadic life. Although our driver, Joloo, didn't speak English, he was excellent at taking us to all the destinations following unmarked trails, especially on the final leg of the journey to Khermen Tsav, with its sandy track, and he was always very kind. The places we visited were all beautiful, especially Khermen Tsav and Nemeng, which we explored completely alone, and the fascinating Amarbayasgalant monastery, located at the end of a beautiful plain between the mountains. The only suggestion for something different from what we did is to not pay for gas in advance on a daily basis but rather pay based on actual consumption. I think this allows for some savings and greater flexibility in changing the route of the trip compared to what was initially planned, and perhaps even makes some transfers quicker.

The trip was a real adventure! We unfortunately didn't get a chance to drive with Munkhbat himself, but he left us with a very experienced driver Mungho. We saw a lot of beautiful places in central Mongolia and Mungho always found a good place for us to eat and sleep. Even though we didn't have a common language, we somehow managed to communicate with hands and in the end the trip was amazing!

We have joined the Gobi Desert & Kharkhorum 7-day tour with Muugii this early May. It was off-season, few tourists, but the weather was actually great, warm sunny and dry. Muugii took good care of us all the way. Everyday we see totally different side of Mongolia. It was a unique experience and environment that I had never experienced before and will never forget.
To be honest, if you are looking for comfortable trip, you will be disappointed, because most of the time we were off-road and bumpy, shower and toilet were not like easy like in the cities, but in exchange you will get to feel simple nomad life, see amazing views, in touch with real nature and free animals not in the zoos or parks.
I was truly touched by Mongolia, and thank Muugii for introducing us to that.
I organized gobi desert & kharkhorum exploring tour for 7 days. Saulai Okai & his husband & lovely daughter, and his friend were very nice travellers, we had many fun, the tour was great, I did my best.

The Gobi Desert is beautiful, but our trip was quite disappointing for the following reasons:
- The two UAZ car were uncomfortable, with old suspension and no air conditioning. They consumed a lot of fuel: we refueled countless times, one even five minutes before arriving at our destination! Both the front and back handles broke.
- The camps were substandard, especially the first one, which was full of insects inside the yurtas. We had to ask for sheets and towels every time because they weren't provided. In the first camp, the shower wasn't working, and in the third, there was very little water ( and no elettrical outlet ). On the fourth day, we had to pay for a hotel to sleep and wash normally!
- The cook was very kind, but she didn't have a cooler, so the food, especially the butter and yogurt, quickly went bad, and we had stomach problems.
I don't think I'd recommend this trip to anyone.
I organized the Gobi tour for 5 days for the team of Brando, there were 4 teenagers, their parents ,total 8 people.
The tour was great, both team were great, but there was issue about accomodation. Like shower, some insects on the floor, this things happens commonly in the countryside, specially Gobi desert. I will remind about it to the camps.

I typically prefer travelling independently and arranging all aspects of my trips on my own but all my research indicated that it was necessary to have a guide when travelling through Mongolia. Having Muugii as my guide turned out to be a great decision and made our trip very memorable and fun. He responded quickly to all my questions during the planning stage despite the time difference, and he always tried his best to accommodate our requests and budget. Our trip happened at the end of the tourist season but he still managed to find comfortable tourist camps for us to stay in (and sometimes we were the only ones there!). The food he ordered for us to eat along the way during the long drives were delicious and I enjoyed our roadside picnics. He is considerate, respectful, and most importantly, experienced. He brought extra camping equipment in case we ever needed it, and when things didn’t work out like the unexpected closure of a food stop, he had a back-up plan. With Muugii, it really felt like I was hanging out with a friend, and our comfortable conversations ranged from humorous stories to serious conversations about what life is like in Mongolia and its history. Our driver that he arranged for the trip was very kind and very experienced. At each stop, he was always checking and maintaining the vehicle to prevent any issues as we travelled through remote Mongolia. As an independent traveler, I really appreciated that Muugii allowed us to explore independently and gave us time and space to work on our landscape photography. He was never far and checked on us occasionally to make sure we were safe. Mongolia is a very beautiful and remote country that requires an experienced and knowledgeable guide, and I highly recommend Muugii for anyone considering a trip there.

I hired Muugii to organize a five day tour of the Gobi for my wife and I, starting with a pickup at our hotel in Ulaanbaatar and hitting the White Stupas, The Flaming Red Cliffs, the dunes of Khonger Els, the Yol Am Canyon, and finishing with us being dropped back at our hotel in UB. Muugii was very responsive in communicating with me in setting up the trip plan and he was very flexible in meeting our needs. The tour itself was great - the itinerary followed the plan that we created and all of the arrangements were exactly what we wanted. The driver was very skilled in both city driving and off-road handling and was very accomodating whenever we wanted to stop to eat or take photos. And the sightseeing was spectacular! I found Muugi to be a reliable travel partner and would recommend him.

The driver was very friendly, helpful and always went the extra mile! With driving, getting food, luggage, trying to find the best experiences for us etc. We went on a short boat trip with the driver and watched him fish and it was very fun! He was also always early for pick up which was great!
He also helped a lot in communicating with the locals and introducing foods to us. Our most memorable part of the trip was when he always asked for "Translate, translate!" to get the phone for Google Translation haha!
Some of the roads were really bumpy and the country was a lot bigger than expected and the jams in UB were crazy; I was glad we rented the car with the driver instead of trying to drive ourselves ^^
The trip was really nice, we enjoyed it a lot! We were a little shocked at first during the stay with the local family because there was no shower! But it was fine and still lots of fun! I probably could never have experienced all this without going through a local tour either so I'm really happy with everything!

We had a fantastic trip with Munkhbat, At (the driver) and Ayuna (chef). The price point was very reasonable and every day we saw something spectacular in the Gobi. Munkhbat was always professional and knowledgeable about where we were. At was a very skilled (and rapid) driver so we always felt safe even when driving through desert and sand storms. Ayuna cooked us great meals every night and catered well for the vegetarian in our group. Accommodation and vehicle were basic but perfectly comfortable. The travel can sometimes be a bit rough and ready but you're out in the wilderness so that's to be expected. Would highly recommend.

Muugii was a very reliable guide who did really everything he could that we have the best experience.
He was at the airport on time, helped us a lot with our lost luggages, cooked really good food every day and most importantly recommended a really good, rich and exciting itinerary for us.
We traveled with an UAZ with Muugii and his friend, Bagi, the driver. The van had a few small issues during the 10 days but all could be fixed in relatively short time. The van had usb slots to charge phones/cameras as we took tons of picture.
We stayed typically in jurts (ger) which were an authentic experience - but comfortable enough. The best were when we visited local people's personal jurt as guests.
Communication was easy with Muugi in the planning phase and there wasn't any negative surprise.
Muugii is a nice and friendly guy with a nice family. He speaks good English, knows a lot about Mongolia and cares deeply about his travellers.
If we ever go back to Mongolia, we'd like to travel with Muugii and Bagi again.

Couldn't have been any better. Itushi was a knowledgable guide, with good English and a great sense of humour. Sanjasurun, the driver, has an unbelievable sense of direction arriving eactly where intended even after driving over 100s of kilometres of dirst steppe roads.
I organized the trip to east part of Mongolia to Buir Lake and blur lake , also some part of Chinggiskhaan heritages. Our client Martin traveled with a guide who speaks English and knowledgeable . A driver was man SANJAA. He is driving for tourists for almost 30 years. Very expierenced guy.

We are an activ couple from germany, Didi and Gunda, in the mids oft he sixtees. We had three wonderful weeks with currently english speaking, warm heartfelt, funny Muugii. It was big luck to find Muugii via internet. First we asked only for an transfer from airport to UB. Finally we made scedule together for our three weeks trip in the center of mongolia. Muugii followed our wishes: a trip with longer stays at one place, few kilometers driving. We want to feel this part of mongolia, not to hurry in a car from place to place. We wanted to decide free, also during the trip and change schedule. Muugii understood our intention totaly. So we took our aircraft relaxed an happy to Mongolia! After the first night staying with Muugiis family in his flat near Airport, we knew: Yes, this was the best decision we did!!!
We stayed at Nomadic familys, in nice, small Ger-Touristcamps, we cooked together, we drove in Muugiis car, sometime he sang his mongolian love songs. Muugii is an excellent driver, we liked dearty roads! We liked the silence!
Muugii learned us much about mongolian history and aktual live. He can tell stories as an entertainer! We had fun! We discussed also some political an society developments and learned from each other.
Didi and me, we had time for ourselves. Hiking through the wonderfull pure landscape, accompanied from horses, yaks, goats, sheeps, the sun and the smell oft he landscape! Mini Goby! White Lake!!!! Tsetserleg! Ugii Lake! … We loved the GERS! We loved to make fire for the nighttime!
We loved the food from nomadic families an the host families in the familiar tourist camps and the food, we prepared with Muugii. Over all, we loved the landscape! We liked the mongolian people. And the luck to stay nearly without other tourists, because it was the end of the summer season.
We came back to germany deeply quiet inside and our heard heard is filled wir thankfullness to Muugii, to his family and to Mongolia.

First of all I would love to say that it was really fantastic and wonderful trip! We had 19 days trip only through Central part of Mongolia. We made the trip slowly from the hight light to highlight staying for 3-4 nights , glad to say it also made me relaxed and I enjoyed a lot.

I spent the two days with Munkhbat (Muuggi) and I'm glad I did. He should me some amazing places and organised for us to stay with a local family. We spent time in a Ger which allowed me to experience what it is like to live as nomad, albeit briefly.
Munkhbat was a great guide and those two days made a great difference to my trip as I was tired and over riding he bike. Prior to finishing the ride, Munkhbat was really helpful in occasionally helping me out of trouble.

We had a wonderful 10 days travelling from Ulaanbaatar to Ölgii to the Eagle Festival via van. A great driver who looked after us even though the language was limited. Felt very safe and treated very well through out the trip. Would highly recommend for a road trip.
