About this tour
Fairy Meadows is approachable by a fifteen kilometer-long jeepable trek starting from Raikot Bridge on Karakoram Highway to the village Tattu (Tato). The dangerous and narrow gravel mountain road from the bridge to the village is only open to locals, who provide transportation to visitors. In 2013, the World Health Organization declared it the second-deadliest road on the planet. From Tato onward, it takes about three to four hours hiking by a five kilometer trek to Fairy Meadows. The grassland is located in the Rakhiot valley, at one end of the Rakhiot glacier which originates from the Nanga Parbat and feeds a stream that finally falls in the River Indus. Since 1992, locals have operated camping sites in the area.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: lslamabad International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan to Gilgit Airport, Gilgit
Pick up from Gilgit airport check in to the hotel relax for the day and explore the culture and heritage of Gilgit city oldest market of Gilgit baltistan , famous bridges and the Buddha carved on the mountain. stay over night at Gilgit.
Day 2: Gilgit to Fairy Meadows Guest House
almost a hour drive to raikot bridge the take jeep for next one hour off road and most dangerous ride to wards fairy meadows, drop off by jeep and almost 5 KM basic hike to reach fairy meadows over night stay at the wooden huts camping is an option too.
Day 3: Fairy Meadows Guest House to Nanga Parbat Base Camp
morning with the breath taking view of Nanga Parbat after breakfast starting hike towards the base come basic hike for almost 3 hours to reach base camp way back and stay over night at fairy meadows
Day 4: Fairy Meadows Guest House
this is the relaxing day at the fairy meadows exploring near by location of the fairy meadow can go for horse riding, nature photography, reflection lake, at night some music with bonfire BBQ , star gazing over night stay at fairy meadows
Day 5: Fairy Meadows Guest House to Gilgit
way back to Gilgit city on way 3 mountain range junction where Himalaya, hindukush , and karakurom ranges meet. over night stay at Gilgit
Day 6: Gilgit to Skardu
5 hours drive to reach Skardu valley along with the indus river, check it to the hotel take rest exploring local market at the evening. over night stay at skardu
Day 7: Skardu to Serena Shigar Fort, Shigar

Day 8: Shigar to Kachura

Day 9: Kachura to Deosai National Park, Astore

Day 10: Skardu to Organic Village, Skardu
A unique small village in Baltistan towards the north of Skardu city known as Organic village Skardu. Located at a distance of only 3 km away from Skardu city. This beautiful small village is famous for its pure climate and flora. The organic village has a unique identity throughout Baltistan for its purity. The lifestyle and farming here are still on old-fashions. The windmill is still in use here. Organic village Skardu has the settlement behind the Kharpocho fort on the bank of the Indus river. Due to the lack of road this village is on a walking distance of about 40 minutes. the path passes through mountains and on the bank of rivers. To reach this place one has to go through a very difficult path. There is also a place on the way where you need to go through two small wooden bumps. way back to skardu overnight at skardu
Day 11: Skardu to lslamabad International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan
drop off at Skardu air port and pick up at islamabad air port over night stay at islamabad
