Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Kharakhorum Museum, Harhorin, Mongolia

In the morning, our guide and a driver will pick up from your hotel or guesthouse and start our tour. We leave the city before we pass some shops. After shops directly driving towards to Karakorum city & Erdenezuu monastery for 340 km. Lunch served on the way some and then toward our next destination is a Karakorum ancient city. The most prominent historical site in Orkhon Valley is the Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol empire. The Karakorum, founded in 1220 by Genghis khan, was not only the capital of the vast Mongolian Empire but the epic center of trade of Silk Road.

Day 2: Kharakhorum Museum, Harhorin, Mongolia to Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, Mongolia

After breakfast, we will drive to Khorgo Dormant Volcano is the youngest volcano in Mongolia. You can go short hiking a lake. Overnight Ger guesthouse.

Day 3: Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, Mongolia to Otgon Sum, Mongolia

After breakfast, we will drive to (off-road) Otgon sum of Zavkhan Province in western Mongolia. It comes alive with the summer when tourists pass through on their way to Otgontenger's highest mountain.

Day 4: Otgon Sum, Mongolia to Otgontenger, Mongolia

After breakfast, we will drive to Otgontenger mountain. Lunch served, on the way. The south face of Mount Otgontenger is the most extensive granite wall in Mongolia. The Otgontenger mountain is one of the three most sacred mountains in Mongolia. . See Badarhundaga's beautiful lake around the mountain, set up our tents and start the camping.

Day 5: Otgontenger, Mongolia to Khuvsgul Lake, Mongolia

After breakfast, we will drive to (off-road) Khuvsgul lake. we will stop for lunch served on the way and then will continue to visit Khatgal village and explore the village’s life, shops. After shops directly driving towards to Khuvsgul Lake National Park. Overnight tourist camp.

Day 6: Khuvsgul Lake, Mongolia

Today full day, it is free time for you to be on your own. There is a great opportunity to hiking, kayaking or just enjoy wild nature to take photos. Also, you can ride a motor-boat around the lake. Lunch served in a tourist camp. Overnight tourist camp. Tonight special dinner (Khorkhog is a barbecue dish in Mongolian cuisine).

Day 7: Khuvsgul Lake, Mongolia to Uran Togoo Volcano, Mongolia

After breakfast, we will drive to Uran crater for 350 km. Uran crater or know as Urantogoo Uul biggest volcano in Mongolia. This volcano was active in the 3rd to 4th geological periods and was exploded 20-25 thousand years ago. This mountain is unevenly covered by larch trees and the larch forest is still increasing in recent years. Lunch served on the way (name of Jargalant town) and then continue to the Uran crater. Upon arrival at the volcano, you can go short climbing to the Uran crater. After returning to the vehicle, head to tonight’s Ger guesthouse.

Day 8: Uran Togoo Volcano, Mongolia to Amarbayasgalant Monastery, Дархан, Mongolia

After breakfast, our next destination is an Amarbayasgalant monastery for 380 km. Lunch served on the way (name of Erdenet city). Erdenet city is the second-largest city in Mongolia and one of the world's large open-pit copper mines is the reason for this city. You can see the mine, a few km East of the city. We will pass some shops. After shops directly driving towards to Amarbayasgalant monastery. This monastery astonishing in its beauty and design, the monastery’s main temple was completed without the use of a single nail. Incredibly, Amarbayasgalant escaped the fate of many other Buddhist monasteries during the political purges of the 1930s, surviving almost untouched. Overnight is a Ger guesthouse.

Day 9: Amarbayasgalant Monastery, Дархан, Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

After breakfast, we will head to Ulaanbaatar for 340 km. Lunch served on the way. In the evening we will attend an amazing performance of Mongolian traditional music and dance. Overnight hotel or guesthouse.
