Tourism in Gil git-Baltistan, an administrative unit of Pakistan, focuses on the mountains. Gilgit-Baltistan borders Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province to the west, a small portion of the Wakhan Corridor of Afghanistan to the north, Xinjiang, China to the northeast, the Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to the southeast, and the Pakistani-administered state of Azad Kashmir to the south.
Gilgit-Baltistan is home to five of the "eight-thousanders" and to more than fifty peaks above 7,000 metres (23,000 ft). Gilgit and Skardu are the two main hubs for expeditions to those mountains. The region is home to some of the world's highest mountain ranges. The main ranges are the Karakoram and the western Himalayas. The Pamir Mountains are to the north, and the Hindu Kush lies to the west. Amongst the highest mountains are K2 (Mount Godwin-Austen) and Nanga Parbat, the latter being one of the most feared mountains in the world.
Three of the world's longest glaciers outside the polar regions are found in Gilgit-Baltistan: the Biafo Glacier, the Baltoro Glacier, and the Batura Glacier. Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Islamabad, Pakistan
Well come at banazeer international Airport . drop to Hotel for refreshment and later drive to Faisal mosque and other attarctions of twin cities . drop to Hotel for early mornig drive towards GB
Day 2: Islamabad, Pakistan to Babusar Top, Naran, Mansehra
en route Babusar Top , Jheel Maluk and other destinations . 2nd CE Rocks inscriptions at Shatial and Thalpan.
Day 3: Naran, Pakistan to Gilgit-Baltistan
here the road drive through KKH is more enjoyable and attractive for 3 ranges view and little hike at different stream along KKH . drive almost takes 12 hours to reached Gilgit city where the ancient silk and spices markets are exists and visit during evening time is much much enjoyable .
Day 4: Gilgit to Rakaposhi View Point, Gulmit
drive takes two hours but en route need much more time to capture photos of great Rakaposhi Diran and other peaks as well . through drive is on KKH reaching to Rakaposhi view point and drop to Hotel just in front of Rakaposhi Peak 7788mt
Day 5: Rakaposhi View Point, Gulmit to Hunza, Hunza Nagar
driving the car to Hunza Karimabad a hub for tourists and activites here are include Baltit fort visit , Altit fort .Duikar view Point ,but during summer it is full of tourists and noises so far flung areas are quite nice to visist.
Day 6: Hunza, Hunza Nagar to Hopar
this is the most attractive and in short time full of wilderness captures of Nature such as Nagar fort , world 2nd fastest moving glacier , an osis like Hoper valley. it take two hours drive to Hoper valley by car . Hike to Hoper glacier and back to Hoper Hotel for night bonfire.
Day 7: Hopar to Khunjerab Pass, Pakistan
drive takes 5 hours to reached boarder area en route wild flora and flora are its peak point . after sost the immigration office the wild ibex Marchopolo sheep can be seen . and reachd to Top drive back to Sost .
Day 8: Sost Bazar, Sost to Naltar Valley
Nalter valley is known for its international Skii slop and rainbow colour lakes at the end of valley . a jungle of Junipers , Alpines and chair lift is most recommanded activites to do here . after visiting seven colour lakes reached to nalter Valley for overnight
Day 9: Naltar Valley to Gilgit
Descending down to drive back to Gilgit city . Here the most charms are driving to man made tunals and a smalll silk and spices markeet to visit. as in ancient times this market was a hub for central Asian traders. still we have spices and silk . later on visiting Kargha rock is marvelous where 7th CE Buddah is awaits to Well come you. Drop to Hotel for overnight
Day 10: Gilgit to Islamabad, Pakistan
its depend on weather . if it is clear we have to flight to reached Islamabad in just 45 minuts air journey otherwise follow same KKH route to islamabad and reached Airport to fly towards home
