Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Ölgii, Mongolia
FLIGHT TO ULGII, WESTERN MONGOLIA & ALTAI Fly to Ulgii town. Early flight is advised. Our team will pick you up at the airport and you will drive towards a village called Altai (4hour). A bit further the village you will stop by Chirtai lake where your tour begins. Here the horses and pack that will support the tour will be waiting for you with their handlers. Overnight in tent.
Day 2: Chikhertei Lake to Into the Wildrness, the Yolt
In the morning pack up the gears and bags for camel load. Jump on your horses saddled up and begin your horse ride adventure. Horse handlers will lead the tour with their pack camels loaded with the luggage, camping gears and foods looking like a caravan. You will start enjoying the landscape around the lake. Today's destination is to a beautiful forested valley in Yolt area. Overnight in tent.
Day 3: Into The Wildrness, The Yolt to Further Into The Yolt Area
Your horse riding trip continues in one of the most beautiful and off the beaten paths and surrounding landscape and nature with its wild flowers will impress you. Wildlife and birds of prey is plenty is this protected haven.
Day 4: Further Into The Yolt Area
There is a high pass waiting to be conquered which gives way to the next destination toward eagle hunter family. Ride up the mountain trail to the top where you can view panoramic Altai mountains.
Day 5: Mountain pass to Nomad family
Finish your tour by arriving at nomad herder families who will be living in the mountains. The family man, our host is a golden eagle hunter who has been hunting with golden eagle for 30 years. Phototgraphy opportunity with golden eagle hunter.
Day 6: At eagle hunter's place to At Eagle Hunter's place
In this most immersive and authentic experience day with the herders you can observe and participate their daily activities such as milking animals, preparing dairy and local food. In mountain fresh you will take the best sleep of yours so far in a Kazakh ger (yurt).
Day 7: At Eagle Hunter's place to Ölgii, Mongolia
BACK TO ULGII Drive back to Ulgii. Check in your hotel and do some souvenir shopping for hand embroidered souvenirs. Farewell dinner at a restaurant.
Day 8: Ölgii, Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
You will be transfered to Ulgii airport for your flight to Ulaanbaatar.
