Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Dashoguz, Turkmenistan to Darvaza Gas Crater - "Door to Hell", Derweze, Turkmenistan
Meeting at the Turkmen-Uzbek land border. Passing through custom procedures. Begin our 265km journey to the Darvaza (Gates of Hell) on the way stopping at two lesser-known craters. One full of mud, one full of water, and both formed the same way as the Gates of Hell. Driving the last few kilometres off-road through the desert, we’ll arrive at the fiery crater just before sunset, and in time to experience dusk turn to dark at this breathtaking site. BBQ Dinner and overnight camping in yurts near the crater.
Day 2: Darvaza Gas Crater - "Door to Hell", Derweze, Turkmenistan to Dashoguz, Turkmenistan
After breakfast at the camp, drive back to Dashoguz (6-7hours) Towards to TKM – UZB "Shavat" border for Khiva, Uzbekistan. Seeing off. End of the tour.
