Kandy City Tour From Kandy

Day 1: Kandy, Sri Lanka

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Kandy at 8:30 am. There, we will board an air-conditioned vehicle in which we will tour the city in search of its most important monuments. First, we will visit the famous Royal Botanical Garden of Peradeniya, an amazing place that is home to more than 4000 different species of plants. We will help you to identify some of these beautiful specimens. We will continue to explore the vibrant streets of Kandy, in search of other emblematic locations. The giant white Buddha statue, Bahirawakanda Vihara, and the Sri Dalada Maligawa Temple are some of the magnificent shrines we will encounter. Along the way, we will also visit a fascinating silk factory to learn all about the production of the elegant material. During this private tour, we will also stop at a local restaurant to have a delicious lunch and taste the typical cuisine of the region. To round off the day, we will attend a traditional dance show that will leave you speechless. Finally, we will take you back to your hotel in Kandy, where we arrive at 5:30 pm.
