Khustai National Park

Khustai National Park, also known as Hustai National Park, is a renowned protected area situated about 100 kilometers west of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia's capital. Established in 1993, the park is famous for its successful reintroduction of the Przewalski's horse, or takhi, the last truly wild horse species in the world. Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Elsen Tasarkhai, Högönö-Taranaiin-Hüree, Mongolia

On this day, we will take you to the Elsen Tasarkhai / the Sand lines. This is the place where a nature, the gobi, a mountains, and a river meet. There you will ride a camel and go along with a sand dunes for a hour. There is a nomadic family that you can see how they live with their livestock and you will have Mongolian traditional barbecue for your dinner and spend a night in a ger. Distance: 190 km /paved and off road/ Activities: Camel riding, hiking, staying with nomadic family

Day 2: Elsen Tasarkhai, Högönö-Taranaiin-Hüree, Mongolia to Gorkhi Terelj National Park, Улаанбаатар, Mongolia

Tsonjin Boldog, one of the most historically significant sites in Mongolia situated 54 km east of the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, is famous for being the birthplace of Genghis Khan, the legendary leader who founded the Mongol Empire in the 13th century. Our tour will take us to the very spot where Genghis Khan is believed to have been born, marked by a towering statue of him on horseback that stands at an impressive 40 meters (131 feet) tall. This statue is the tallest equestrian statue in the world and is a symbol of the Mongolian people's pride in their history and heritage. Then we will move to Terelj National Park granite cliffs, meandering rivers, and lush forests paint a breathtaking landscape. At Terelj national park we will hike to Aryabal Temple which is a very beautiful monastery situated on the mountain.
