Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Arrival in Bishkek in the early morning. Meeting with our guide and transfer to the hotel for a rest time. After breakfast, we start our first walk to discover the capital of Kyrgyzstan with our guide. Bishkek is a green city with many parks and gardens. It is also a cultural capital that we discover, with operas, Kyrgyz and Russian theaters, circuses and philharmonic orchestras, not to mention the Osh Bazaar. Day 2: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Kyzyl-Oi, Kyrgyzstan
We start our day by crossing the Töö-Achuu pass (3200 m) to reach the Suusamyr Valley. We follow the Kökömeren river, then pass through the villages of Kojomkul and Suusamyr. Day 3: Kyzyl-Oi, Kyrgyzstan to Kara-Keche, Kyrgyzstan
Our goal today is to reach the foot of the Kara Ketche pass. Camping in the Kara Ketche Gorge at an altitude of 2500 m. Overnight in the tent. Accommodation: tent (altitude 2500 m) Mountain bike: 40 km MTB elevation: +1000 m Transfer: 1.5 h
Day 4: Kara-Keche, Kyrgyzstan to Song Kol Lake, Kyrgyzstan
Passage through the Kara Keche pass in the morning. We arrive at Song-Köl Lake. Located at an altitude of 3000 meters above sea level, the turquoise lake surrounded by vast steppes is one of the most picturesque places in Kyrgyzstan. Surrounded by rich meadows known to be the best countries for semi-nomadic shepherds who come in large numbers during the summer. Overnight in the tent. Day 5: Song Kol Lake, Kyrgyzstan to Kara Kujur valley
We follow the north-eastern shore of Song-Köl Lake to the Kalmak-Achu pass. Beautiful descent of the pass, nice photos of animals, nomads in their daily lives, their herds, beautiful landscapes. We descend to the village of Tölök along the Keng-Suu River. Transfers to the valleys of Kara Kujur. Overnight in the tent. Day 6: Kara Kujur valley to At-Bashi, Kyrgyzstan
Departure to the valley of Eki-Naryn. The Eki-Naryn Valley is a beautiful and wild corner of Kyrgyzstan. The name of the valley in Kyrgyz means "two Naryn". It is the junction of two rivers, the little Naryn and the Great Naryn. Picnic on the way. In the late afternoon, transfer to At-Bashi. We arrive in the village of At-Bashi, located in a valley surrounded by peaks rising to more than 4700 meters above sea level. Overnight at the homestay. Day 7: At-Bashi, Kyrgyzstan to Kamandy summer Pasture
We leave the village of At-Bachy with our vehicle. After a little time on the road, it is by bike that we quietly join the jailoo of Kamandy. This is how the estive is called, an area of high-altitude pastures in summer. Arrival and installation at the jailoo in the early afternoon. Night under the yurt, among the nomads. Day 8: Kamandy Summer Pasture
During the summer, this summer area is occupied by many families who come there from their farms with their flocks and settle there for several months. Staying at the jailoo with a family of breeders is the best way to discover their daily rhythms of life, to attend or join the gathering of a herd, to participate in the milking of mares and the preparation of the famous "kumiss"... before you taste it. It is also an opportunity to help with the preparation of meals, laugh and sing together, play with nomadic children. Day 9: Kamandy Summer Pasture to kok-kya valley
Today we cycle to the Kök-Kya Valley, where we have access to the lake Köl-Suu the next day. The fauna and flora of the valley, the beautiful view of the glacier, the sublime landscapes around, the clean air, the edelweiss under our feet ... a treat for our senses! Day 10: Kok-Kya Valley to Köl-Suu, Kyrgyzstan
The day is dedicated to the discovery of Köl-Suu Lake, which we reach by hiking or horseback riding (option). Located at an altitude of 3500 m, this lake is absolutely different from the previous ones in the structure of its environment. Surrounded by high rocks, it welcomes us as if in a setting of turquoise water and gives us the impression of being at the end of the world. Day 11: Kok-Kya Valley to Naryn, Kyrgyzstan
Return back to Naryn city. Accommodation, relax. Dinner at homestay. Accommodation: homestay (2000 m altitude) Transfer: 5h
Day 12: Naryn, Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Departure for Bishkek. We drive all morning in the direction of the capital. Free afternoon to stroll in the vibrant atmosphere of Och Bazaar, ideal place to make the last purchases before the return or to enjoy a few last visits. Farewell dinner with your team.
