Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Jeti-Ögüz resort, Jeti Oguz, Kyrgyzstan
Meeting at the airport today. after the airport we are heading to the Jeti-Oguz gorge, which is located in the south of the Issyk Kul lake. on this day we will stop near the famous rock called seven bulls. dinner and overnight in a guest house.
Day 2: Jeti-Ögüz resort, Jeti Oguz, Kyrgyzstan to Telety pass, Kyrgyzstan
today after breakfast we will start our trek to the foot of the Teleti pass ~ 4-5 hours (12 km). Overnight in tents (altitude: 2900m).
Day 3: Telety pass, Kyrgyzstan to Ushchel'ye Karakol, Kyrgyzstan
today after breakfast we hike to the Teleti pass (3820m) and descent to the Karakol valley ~ 6-7 hours (15km). Overnight in tents (altitude: 2400m).
Day 4: Ushchel'ye Karakol, Kyrgyzstan to Ala-Kul, Kyrgyzstan
Trekking to the base camp Ecotrek - Sirota ~ 2-3 hours (6 km). Along the river for about 1 hour and crossing the river by cable bridge and up the valley. Overnight in tents (altitude: 2700m).
Day 5: Ala-Kul, Kyrgyzstan to Altyn-Arashan, Kyrgyzstan
Trekking to the Ala-Kul pass and Ala-Kul lake (3860m) and descent to the Keldike valley ~ 6-7 hours (15 km). Overnight in tents (altitude: 3300m).
Day 6: Altyn-Arashan, Kyrgyzstan to Karakol, Kyrgyzstan
Walking downhill to the hot springs Altyn-Arashan ~ 2-3 hours (6 km). Bathing in hot springs. (height: 2500m). transfer to Karakol (2 hours)
Day 7: Karakol, Kyrgyzstan to Epkin, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast, drive toward to Kochkor villagge across the southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake. Visit the Canyon "Fairy Tale". The canyon was named after its eccentric rocky landscape, which over the years has been transformed by the wind into various sculptures.After discovering this stunning place, you meet a berkutchy, a kyrgyz eagle hunter, who will show you how does he train his golden eagle for hunting, and tell you about his passion for this majestic bird. Lunch on the way visit to the yurt maker. Overnight at the guest house.
Day 8: Epkin, Kyrgyzstan to korumdu
this morning we will rise to the corumda jailoo where we will spend the night near the shepherds. dinner and overnight in a tent.
Day 9: Korumdu to Bab-ata
today we get up early in the morning and keep our way towards the peak of the Kochkor region of Baba-Ata. we will spend the night in a tent at an altitude of 3000 meters. with a panoramic view of the region.
Day 10: Baba-ata to Chaar-archa
Today, after breakfast, along the mountain paths, we are heading towards the Chaar-archa mountain gorge, which means the juniper gorge where our next overnight stay will be.
Day 11: Chaar-archa to Song-Kul, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast at Kilemche, spend the morning climbing to Tuz-Ashuu pass (3400 m), over the Song-Kol Mountains and into the lake’s basin. The morning climb affords wonderful views of Kilemche jailoo, and the pass itself is rocky and exciting. From the pass, Song-Kol is still distant, but as you traipse down the slopes, it gets larger and larger; the mountains on the other side get higher and higher, until finally the lake fills most of your field of view and the southern mountains tower above it. picnic at the lake on the hill with amazing view, over night in the yurt.
Day 12: Son-Kul lake to Uzbek pass
after breakfast follow the lakeshore west to the yurt at Uzbek-Ashuu. Upon arrival meet your host family of Kyrgyz shepherds. Meals and overnight are in a yurt of shepherds.
Day 13: Song-Kul, Kyrgyzstan to Kyzart, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast from yurt camp leave SongKul to Kyzart village via Uzbek Pass. The pass opens you spectacular panoramic view to all SongKol valley. Say “Goodbye SongKol” and ride down to the village where your lunch will be waiting for you in family home stay. After lunch transfer to Kochkor. Accommodation and dinner in the home stay.
Day 14: Kochkor, Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek via Kochkor. Visit the local needlework center to see a felt show, a souvenir shop and a local museum. After lunch, transfer to Bishkek. Arrival and accommodation at the hotel
