Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Samarkand to Panjakent, Tajikistan

Samarqand-Panjakent-Samarqand is the itinerary. Getting together with the guide at the border and traveling to the first tourist destination, "Sarazm" (Unesco Heritage with 5500 years of history). Situated not far from the border crossing are the UNESCO-listed ruins of Sarazm. These are the remains of the first agricultural society in Central Asia, which existed more than 5,000 years ago. Here, along with some of her jewelry, was found the very tall human skeleton known as the "Princess of Sarazm." Archaeologists have also found artifacts that show ancient trading routes that reached as far as modern-day Iran and Pakistan. We will then drive to Central Museum, which is our next destination. It's on the main avenue in Panjakent City. Incredibly large and striking, packed with details about Tajikistan's past and present. Next, we'll head to either the local market or the lunch spot, depending on when we get there. This bazaar's exquisite central building is surrounded by brick archways. It's a good place to stock up on trekking snacks like nuts and dried fruits, or to enjoy the hospitality of the Tajik people for the first time. Tajiki food is known for its abundance of delectable dishes, including plov, dumplings, various soups, and shashkebabs (beef, lamb, chicken, liver, etc.). Having lunch at one of Panjakent's traditional eateries or tea houses. Finally, we will visit the "Ancient ruins of Panjakent (5th-8th centrues AD)," another important and historically significant location, before continuing on to the border. It discusses the city's pre-Islamic and post-Islamic history as well as its important role in the Silk Road. Since the ruins are perched on a hill, you can also get a good overview of the contemporary city from here. The tour also includes a visit to this location's small museum. Returning to the border after a quarter to half an hour. Tour and our services come to an end.
