Growing up in a small and picturesque town of Panjakent in Tajikistan, I was surrounded by the beauty of my homeland. My childhood was filled with simple joys like playing with friends, exploring the countryside, and going to school. But there was always one thing that set me apart from the other kids - my burning desire to learn and speak the English language. From a young age, I was fascinated by the English language and its ability to connect people from all over the world. Whenever I saw foreigners, I couldn't help but feel a strong urge to have a conversation with them. However, my English skills were poor, and this language barrier prevented me from fully expressing myself and making meaningful connections. Determined to overcome this barrier, I enrolled in the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Khujand State University, named after academician Bobojon Ghafurov. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience, and I am proud to say that I have successfully completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in English. These years of education not only improved my language skills but also broadened my horizons and exposed me to different cultures and perspectives. During my university years, I also had the opportunity to work as an assistant tour guide and interpreter. This experience helped me practice my language skills in a real-life setting and gave me a taste of the tourism industry. Little did I know that this would become my passion and career in the future. Since 2016, I have been working as an English-speaking tour guide and interpreter, introducing visitors to the wonders of my beautiful country. I consider it a privilege to be able to share my knowledge and love for Tajikistan with people from all over the world. As a tour guide, I have had the opportunity to make many friends from different backgrounds and nationalities, and I am grateful for the enriching experiences and friendships that I have gained. Being a tour guide has not only allowed me to showcase the beauty of my country but has also helped me improve my English skills significantly. Interacting with native English speakers on a daily basis has given me the confidence to communicate effectively in this language, and I am proud to say that I have never received any negative feedback from my guests. This feedback is a testament to my hard work and determination to be the best representative of my country. As I continue my work as a tour guide, I am filled with a sense of joy and pride, knowing that I am contributing to promoting my country and its rich culture to the world. I am delighted to be able to make a positive impact on people's perceptions of Tajikistan and showcase its hidden gems to those who are curious and adventurous enough to explore. In conclusion, I am grateful to have been born and raised in such a beautiful town and to have had the opportunity to pursue my passion for the English language. I am determined to continue working hard and improving my skills to be the best representative of my country for all the travellers who want to discover the mesmerizing Tajikistan.
