On this one-day tour, you will get the best opportunity to view Panjakent, one of Tajikistan's most attractive and important historical cities. You will see the 5500-year-old Proto-Urban Center of Sarazm and its museum, the Central Antiquity Museum named for A. Rudaki, the Central Oriental Market of Panjakent, and the ruins of Ancient Panjakent, also known as Central Asian Pompei, which dates back to the 5th to 8th century AD and has a museum. We have a nutritious supper of Tajiki cuisine waiting for all of us! We will also tour four of the seven lakes in the so-called Seven Lakes area.
Can't wait to see you all!
The itinerary is Samarqand border - Panjakent - Seven Lakes (till lake 4 max.) - Samarqand border. Gathering at the border with the guide, you go to "Sarazm," the first tourist attraction (a 5500-year-old Unesco Heritage site). Located in close proximity to the border crossing are the UNESCO-listed Sarazm ruins. These are the remnants of Central Asia's first agricultural society, which flourished about 5,000 years ago. This is where the extremely tall human skeleton known as the "Princess of Sarazm" was discovered, along with some of her jewels. Additionally, items that demonstrate historic trade networks that extended as far as present-day Iran and Pakistan have been discovered by archaeologists. After there, we'll drive to our next stop, Central Museum. It is located in Panjakent City on the main avenue. Incredibly huge and eye-catching, filled with information on the history and current of Tajikistan. Depending on when we get there, we'll then go to either the local market or the lunch spot. Brick archways encircle the magnificent core building of this market. It's a good site to experience the hospitality of the Tajik people for the first time, or to stock up on hiking goodies like nuts and dried fruits. Tajiki cuisine is renowned for its wide variety of delicious meals, such as shashkebabs (beef, lamb, chicken, liver, etc.), plov, and dumplings. Eating lunch at one of the classic tea shops or restaurants in Panjakent. The "Ancient ruins of Panjakent (5th-8th centrues AD)," another noteworthy historical site, will be our next stop. The pre-Islamic and post-Islamic histories of the city are covered, along with its significant role in the Silk Road. You can also have a decent view of the modern city from here because the ruins are situated atop a hill. A visit to this location's modest museum is included in the trip. It's now time to discover the Seven Lakes area's pristine wilderness. We'll travel up to Lake #4 Maximum, stopping for numerous photo possibilities along the way. Aside from the blue lakes, there are several of charming villages to explore, and friendly residents are often delighted to have visitors around for tea. Going back to the border two hours later. The tour and our offerings are over.

Certainly, all you'll need at the border to cross from Samarkand is your passport and, if necessary, a valid visa. It's extremely easy, of course. The simplest way to go to the border is to pay $10 for a Yandex Go taxi, which is your best option. The border is 50 minutes away by car from your hotel. Even better, you can request that a Yandex taxi be called for you that morning at the hotel lobby or buy one online. On the way back, you can find a lot of the local taxis that run nonstop at the border. You have two options: take a private taxi, which will cost the same as using Yandex, or pick an alternative. or divide the cost among other travelers. It will only cost $3 per person in this way. A $40 private transfer to and from the border is also offered, should you require one.
