Day 1: Almaty, Kazakhstan to Ile River, Kazakhstan

The first stop of the tour awaits you in the Medeo Gorge, where in the wonderful mountains of Trans-Ili Alatau the largest high mountain skating rink in the world is located as well as the huge dam, protecting the city from destructive mudflows formed on the tops of the western Tien Shan. Next destination is Chimbulak ski resort, located at an altitude of 2230 meters above sea level. It is very popular for its mild climate, large quantity of sunny days and snow through the winter and remarkable scenery of mountain ranges. Chimbulak has its own special atmosphere. Here you can see the skiers who like ironed track as well as the snowboarders who prefer extreme downhills with breath taking jumps and turns. On sunny days Chimbulak gathers together thousands of visitors. On chairlifts you can reach Talgar Pass (3163 meters above sea level). Only professional skiers climb here since the descent from the pass is too steep. Also alpinists start their climbing from this point. The lake stretches in a picturesque gorge at an altitude of 2510 m above sea level and surrounded by mountain peaks covered with the majestic Tien Shan spruce. The lake is a source of drinking water supply for the city of Almaty and access for tourists to it is limited. Therefore, the excursion route leads just above the lake, where you can enjoy the enchanting panorama of the mountains and the Big Almaty Lake surrounded by picturesque mountain peaks covered with Tian Shan spruce, aspen and juniper. We provide 1L of bottled water and lunch boxes for you. DAY 3: Turgen gorge, rafting, hiking to Waterfall « Bear» 07.00-08.00 breakfast in hotel, check out 08.00 Departure from Almaty to the Turgen gorge 10.00 rafting by Turgen river 2 CD (Category of difficulty) Turgen is a mountain river, originating from glaciers high in the mountains of Ili Alatau. The gorge through which Turgen flows is considered one of the most picturesque in the mountains of the Northern Tien Shan. Our rafting will take place just in the gorge of the river Turgen. The length of the route on the river is 3 km or 20 minutes on the water, the only route on the entire stretch of the river is acceptable for rafting. The congestion and the size of the river make it possible to make an alloy of not more than 2-4 vessels at a time with an interval of 5-10 minutes between the start of each of the vessels. 13.00 Lunch near river 14.00 walking to waterfall Bear One of the most popular attractions in the Almaty is the famous Turgensky Bear Falls. The bear waterfall is part of the Turgen waterfalls, which were formed by the river Turgen. In total, there are seven waterfalls in the Turgen Gorge, the most famous of which, of course, is the Bear Falls. For visiting tourists are available three waterfalls - Rocky, Bear and Kairaksky. In the Turgen gorge you can find the “source of eternal youth” and, according to popular belief, the soul of the one who tastes crystal clear water from this source will become younger. Turgen waterfalls are located on the territory of the national natural park Ile-Alatau. The gorge shows tourists all its beauty and invites you to enjoy amazing waterfalls, swim in hot springs, take a walk through the alpine and subalpine meadows, mixed and coniferous forests, admire the crystal clear lakes and springs. The picturesque Turgen gorge goes 44 km inland to the Assy plateau. The height of the fall of Turgensky Bear Waterfall is about 30 m. A falling stream of water cuts through the bedding rocks, refreshing everything around with fine splashes of water. Bear Falls is not the highest and most impressive in the gorge. In the summer, the Assy plateau acquires amazing shades and a riot of colors, since on its territory there is a huge number of various plants blooming right on the stones. In these places you can find many amazing and beautiful landscapes that you want to capture on the camera, for example, beautiful flowers, fancifully shaped trees, picturesque hills, moss-covered stones, herds of horses grazing peacefully on the flat areas and a river with incredibly clear water.
Day 6: Assy Observatory, Kazakhstan to Bartogay Lake, Kazakhstan
09.00 departure to Bartogay reservoir – 10.00 - instruction, rafting 3 cd Chilik is a powerful mountain river, originating in glaciers high in the mountains of Trans-Ili Alatau. The gorge, through which the Chilik flows, is very large and on different sites in its own way - picturesque. Our rafting will pass along the rock canyon of the canyon type. This gorge is the last mountain range of Chilik river. But it does not become less attractive from it. Rafting in Chilik is a good and quite serious event. -The Bartogai reservoir is located at an altitude of 1064m above sea level, 186 km from Almaty, and 65 km from Chilik in the same tract in the floodplain of the river. The Bartogai reservoir was created to accumulate water in the winter and to power the fields in the summer along a 160 km long canal. The Chilik River discharges water from under the dam from June to September for irrigated agriculture. Day 7: Camping / picnic place, Kazakhstan to Charyn Canyon National Park, Kazakhstan

The history of the Charyn canyon began about twelve million years ago, when most of the territory that we call Charyn today was occupied by the Ili lake. The Charyn Canyon is a picturesque deep gorge in Kazakhstan, stretching for 154 km along the valley of the Charyn River, near the border with China and Kyrgyzstan. This is one of the places on Earth, from the beauty and majesty of which is breathtaking. Day 8: Kolsai Lake, Kazakhstan to Ozero Kaindy, Kaindy, Kazakhstan
09. 00 - breakfast Magnificent cascade of the Kolsai lakes, which are located 290 kilometers, in the southeast of Almaty. Three high-altitude lakes, which are not for nothing called the pearl of the northern Tien- Shan with steep, overgrown pine-tree slopes are located in the spurs of the Kungey-Alatau Ridge. These unique lakes, which are conventionally called Kolsai-1, which we will see on the first day of stay in the protected area. Lake Kolsay-1 (H-1818) is located 295 km from Almaty. Stretching for 1.5 km in length, it is clamped in a narrow gorge. The lake is surrounded by the highest Tien-Shan firs, they seem to have been specially planted here to preserve this paradise. The water in the lake is absolutely transparent and reflects the sky, and from that it seems bluish-blue. If you take a picture of the lake, you will be surprised that it is difficult to tell in the pictures where the sky is and where the lake is. The virginity of nature will surprise you every time you visit this corner. For those who have seen this beauty for the first time, it simply captures the spirit from the crystal purity of air, water, vegetation. In clear lake water, there is an amazingly beautiful trout fish. Lovers of fishing go here to enjoy their favorite pastime.
