Sigiriya & Dambulla Tour From Kandy

Day 1: Kandy, Sri Lanka to Sigiriya, Sri Lanka

First thing in the morning, at 7 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Kandy, from where we will set off for the archaeological site of Sigiriya. The pleasant road journey will take us around two and a half hours. Once there, we will get out of the vehicle and start to explore the impressive ruins of this ancient 5th-century palace. We will encounter the famous Lion's Rock and learn all about how it earned its curious name! After this visit, you will have free time to taste the delicious local cuisine in one of the area's traditional restaurants (not included). Then we will head to the enchanting city of Dambulla to visit the magical Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple. This fascinating network of grottoes is the largest and best-preserved religious complex in Sri Lanka. Finally, we will take you back to your hotel in Kandy, arriving at around 4 pm.
