Silently, walk alone through the stony plain, vegetated like a mountain but in the Gobi desert. Wild goat, Argali sheep, big vultures, the remote, empty, lively place named Ih Gazriin chuluu. The first day, you will stay in a shy, hospitable, kind nomadic family in the vast steppe. Further, explore the black Gobi desert, Hongor sand dunes, Yoliin am, Flaming Cliff and to know the culture. And camel ride and horse riding are optionally included. On the 7th day fly to the city, arrive at 9 AM in the morning in Ulaanbaatar. Total drive through wild Gobi desert for 1200 km.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Tsant, Mongolia
Day 1 Middle Gobi and isolated nomadic family Morning driver and guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Ulaanbaatar and drive to the middle Gobi. Just out of the city, you will see the open steppe, small hills covered by meadow flowers, nomadic families with horses. Our nomadic family stays isolated in the Gobi desert. The air is very pleasant, smells herbs in the area. This place is the homeland of horses, sheep goat and cattle. Have lunch in a nomadic family. Chat with nomads. And you can help their daily nomadic life as milk a goat. Here we will stay over in nomadic family's spare Ger. Road length: 220 km
Day 2: Tsant, Mongolia to Ih Gadzarïn Chuluu, Mongolia
Day 2 Ikh Gazriin chuluu The morning, we will have a kind of nomadic breakfast. Then drive to the next interesting place, 60 square km granite-mountain range in the steppe. In this rocky mountain range, we will explore a small cave, ruined temple in a rocky valley. Enjoy Gobi lushes, flowers and desert trees. Here is no people and family just some wild animal like argali –wild sheep and vultures. This place is proper to hike. Stay over in tourist Ger camp. Road length 100 km
Day 3: Ih Gadzarïn Chuluu, Mongolia to Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa), Mongolia
Day 3 Tsagaan suvraga & rock painting Morning, drive to Tsagaan suvraga. On the way, you will see folk of vultures soaring on carrion, camels and the scene of the Gobi desert. We will walk around Tsagaan suvraga. This place is nice to take a photo. Then we will get a hotel on the steppe. You can see empty endless steppe just through your window. Before dinner, we will drive to Bronz-Ages rock painting. The area of this place is black, empty and remote. But still, there are some camels, sheep, goat and nomadic families. Some people say this place is like the other planet. You will discover the messages of primitive people by carved. The paintings are a lot; nature is fascinating. Drive back to camp, have dinner and relax. Road length: 150 km
Day 4: Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa), Mongolia to Bayanzag, Bulgan, Mongolia
Day 4 Hiking through Flaming Cliff – Bayanzag Morning, we drive to Flaming Cliff. We will have lunch on the way in Dalanzadgad town at a restaurant. Cliff was the homeland of dinosaurs during the Jurassic period. Dinosaur’s eggshell was founded very first time in the world from this place. Bayanzag is red cliffs on the endless empty steppe. It was bottom of the sea or big lake during the Jurassic era. Road length 260 km
Day 5: Flaming Cliffs, Mongolia to Hongorïn Els, Mongolia
Day 5 Camel trek, climb up to Hongor sand dunes We will drive through wild mountains to Hongor Sand dunes. And there are barren black mountains, lush steppe, the ground covered with wind-eroded black pebbles on the way. You will discover the wilderness of the Gobi Desert. And some nomadic family’s winter place and camels will be seen on the way. Over 3 hours’ drive, we will arrive at the Tourist Ger camp. After lunch, you will ride a camel in front of the dunes. Afternoon or evening, when the bright sun gets down, we will climb to the sand dune. The top of the dune is over 200 meters high. It is steep and loose. Climbing up to the top will need a little bit of effort. After the little challenge, you will see brilliant sightseeing from the top of the dune. Sand dunes and rocky mountain locate simultaneously in the endless lush steppe. Going down is more easy and fun. Relax in the tourist Ger camp. Road length 155 km
Day 6: Hongorïn Els, Mongolia to Yolin Am Ice Field, Mongolia
Day 6: Yoliin am; visit a nomadic family Morning, we will drive along with sand dune and Three Beauty Mountain range by off-road. On the way, we will visit the Gobi’s nomadic family. The family in the Gobi desert, move more frequently than the other places. They search for water and grass for their goat, sheep and camel. So they live very simply with the small stuff. Because it is difficult to move by camel caravan with lots of furniture. We will have a traditional milk dairy product in a family. After the visit, have lunch in a restaurant in Gobi small village. When we arrive at Yoliin am, we will visit the Gobi - natural museum. Hike through beautiful meadow valley, stream, and gorge. The birded vulture on the huge rocks, pikas on the green land will entertain you through hiking. Gorge is narrow as just 3 or 4 people go through at the same time. Optional horse riding is possible here in the mountain. Relax in Ger camp. Road length 170 km
Day 7: Dalanzadgad, Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Day 7 Fly to Ulaanbaatar Early in the morning, driver and guide will transfer you to Dalanzadgad airport. You will arrive in Ulaanbaatar around 9 o'clock. The driver will pick you up from the airport in Ulaanbaatar and transfer you to your hotel. If you have chosen our next city tour, the tour will continue.

We stay 5 nights at the Mongolian Ger camp resorts with hot shower, comfortable beds. Our chosen camps are clean, facilitated as 3-4 star hotels and located isolated in the middle of nowhere. They serve us with delicious, fresh food. Our driver and guides, camp's stuff are trained by cultural value-based customer service. The guide is trained specifically by cultural knowledge. We will cross Mongolian Gobi by air-conditioned, comfortable 4 WD starex car. The driver is experienced in non-signed countryside road. One night will be in the spare Ger of a nomadic family in the empty steppe. Last day we will fly at 7 AM to city.
