The Tamang Heritage trail is a lovely trail, in the Langtang region. You meet and get an insight into the culture and daily lives of the local Tamang community. Off course you also get to enjoy some magnificent views of the white Himalayan peaks! The Tamang have an interesting history, and originate from Tibet. They are one of the bigger ethnic groups in Nepal. This trail has been developed as part of a project to bring tourism to this less-travelled region. With choosing a less-known trekking you support the local community's existence and development as you create job opportunities and income. So, you trek, explore, experience authenticity, and help the development of local communities at the same time.
We aim to distribute tourism over the less-known trekking trails and offer a real Nepal experience, working according to western standards. As we are specialized in tailor-made trips, do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you want to make changes in this itinerary!
