Uchitel peak - 4540 m. asl. Difficulty level 1B. What does it mean? You able to get it without special climbing equipment. The highest peak in exUSSR area in this category. But you shouldn't think that it's easy and not dangerous. Very important for trekkers to be fit, follow the route and get acclimatization before climbing.
Ala-Archa national park and Racek hut (climbing camp) is very popular place in exUSSR for climbing and have more than 20 peaks and 150 routes all difficulty categories. Many professional climbers go to the Uchitel peak to get an acclimatisation before Lenin peak and keep himself ready between seasons.
One guide able to lead 3 persons. If you are group of 4 persons or more, recommended two guides.
Start from Bishkek to Ala-Archa National park (40 km). Then we hike from 2200 m to Racek Hut - 3300 m (asl). The 1st part of rout from is very scenic and popular for experienced hikers till waterfall, near 4 km, because drop just 300-400 m. and not difficult for walking. After short snakes and tea stop we begin our climbing. Now, we hardly could meet many people. But after first leap, altogether are three, we possibly meet the goats and maybe pathes of snow leopard. After ariiving to the Racek Hut, our main goal is have a fun and pleasure till getting acclimatisation.
Today is better wake up before sunrise and began our climbing. We should take only backpack with snakes and tea or water. Our goal is getting peak till 2-3 pm. Because weather in mountain usually broke after lunch. After success we can back right to car and go to Bishkek, if you heve forces for this. But it's better back to Racek hut and take a rest.
Today we can make a short hike to Ak-Sai glacier and around and then go down to the car and drive to Bishkek.
