In addition to traveling to the waterfall, tourists can take a walk through the picturesque places of the plateau. The plateau is located at altitudes of 2800-3200 meters above sea level. Signs of human presence more than 5,000 years ago, both nomadic and sedentary, were found here. An astrophysical observatory was built at the top of the plateau, with one of the world's largest telescopes. The high mountain plateau goes east along the Assy River. There are many ancient burial sites hidden here, which still contain unique rock paintings dating back to 500 BC.
