Traveling Along The Assy Plateau

This unique tour is offered from April to November. This is a trip to the Assy plateau and the Bear waterfall. They are located in the picturesque Turgen Gorge and are characterized by a wonderful atmosphere that reigns around and amazing views that are open to travelers who choose this tour.
Bear waterfall is known for its moderate flow of water and has a height of 30 m. This waterfall was carved into the rock over a thousand years of existence, making it a unique creation of nature. In addition to traveling to the waterfall, tourists can take a walk through the picturesque places of the plateau. The plateau is located at altitudes of 2800-3200 meters above sea level. Signs of human presence more than 5,000 years ago, both nomadic and sedentary, were found here. An astrophysical observatory was built at the top of the plateau, with one of the world's largest telescopes. The high mountain plateau goes east along the Assy River. There are many ancient burial sites hidden here, which still contain unique rock paintings dating back to 500 BC. Such a walk will be interesting to every lover of beautiful views and clean air, and thanks to a professional guide and his extensive knowledge of history, as well as the individual characteristics of these places, neither an adult nor a child will get bored.

The driver Ismayil was waiting with a placard with my name written on it. He was very helpful, took us to azercell outlet outside the airport to get SIM card and exchange currency as the airport counters has rush. He also put his car in the paid parking near the hotel and dropped us to the reception of the hotel carrying our bags.
