An English or Russian-speaking Mongolian or Kazakh guide will accompany you during the tour. Additionally, an exceptional cook and a skilled driver (without using GPS) will be part of your adventure. Our horse guide, equipped with packing camels, will join you for the trekking portion of your tour.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Arriving in UB and city tour. Overnight in UB. Hotel and Lunch & Dinner are provided

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Ulgii, Ölgii, Mongolia

Arrive in Ulgii town. Meet your tour team and stay in a ger camp close to the city center. Lunch and dinner are provided.

Day 3: Ulgii, Ölgii, Mongolia to Oygor, Mongolia

Ranger Station of Oigyr, Altai Tavan Bogd mountain Arrive at Oigyr Ranger Station, then overnight in a tent by the ranger station. /5hrs of driving from town to ranger station/ You will see your pack camel and horseman here at Ranger Station.

Day 4: Oygor, Mongolia to Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Mongolia

Trek to Altai Tavan Bogd base camp and overnight in a tent. You will enjoy the view of the National Park—20 km of trekking total of 4 hrs.

Day 5: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Mongolia to Malchin Peak, Mongolia

Trek to Malchin Peak. You will climb Malchin Peak. You will take your lunch boxes and arrive at the tent afternoon—one more night at base camp.

Day 6: Malchin Peak, Mongolia to White River, Mongolia

Trek back to White River ranger Station, where Tuvan Nomads live. You will camp at the White River Ranger Station. Meet some Tuvan nomads. (Max 4 hrs of trekking)

Day 7: White River, Mongolia to Altai Mountains, Mongolia

Trekking to Khar Salaa. On your way, you will go through historical places and see rock art from Ancient Turkic Age. Camping at Khar Salaa. (6 hrs of trekking)

Day 8: Altai Mountains, Mongolia

Trek to Bear Valley. On the way to Bear Valley, you will pass the Takhil pass and camp by Bear Valley with a beautiful landscape.

Day 9: Altai Mountains, Mongolia

Trek from Bear Valley to Ak Su Valley. This area is the summer place for Kazakh living in Tsengel village. You will visit and see Kazakh Nomadic families. Enjoy photographing.

Day 10: Altai Mountains, Mongolia to Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Mongolia

Trek to Khoton Lake. After 5 hrs of trekking, you will meet your driver and overnight in a tent by the lake. You will also visit an eagle hunting family and learn about Kazakh eagle hunting culture and their lifestyle.

Day 11: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Mongolia to Ulgii, Ölgii, Mongolia

Drive back to Ulgii. Stay in a hotel and dinner is at a restaurant in the city center.

Day 12: Ulgii, Ölgii, Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Fly back to UB.

TRANSPORTATION We offer two different transportation options for this tour. The first is a high-level, latest model, air-conditioned private 4WD vehicle for your comfort. The second option is a 4x4 Russian van. MEAL During your trip, we will serve meals based on the Mongolian diet, which consists of mutton, beef, rice, and noodles. Notes on not included

PERSONAL TRAVEL SUPPLIES For your trip to western Mongolia, we recommend bringing warm clothing, such as rain jackets, waterproof trekking boots, gloves, and hats. Don't forget to prepare a first aid kit and bring your camera equipment.
