Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Dushanbe, Tajikistan to Yaghnob Valley, Tajikistan
Dushanbe- Bidev Meet your driver and drive to Bidev Village. The first yagnobi village -one of the remotest but unspoiled and beautiful parts of Northern Tajikistan. Yagnobi people, who still kept the ancient language of Sogdiana, inhabited this place thousands of years ago.
Day 2: Yaghnob Valley, Tajikistan
Bidev – Garmen This day starts with hike along Yagnob River by taking the clear path, then passing by three other villages You will reach the village of Garmen by the afternoon, where you will stay in the Dalers family house.. Distance: 12km, 7 hours,
Day 3: Yaghnob Valley, Tajikistan
Garmen - Sokan -Piskan Today, we will first hike to the Sokan village to visit the Shrine & Mosque. Explore abandoned village commonly called Sokan, than we will continue our hike to Piskon via Upper Garmen home to just 4 local families. We will stop for lunch before trekking down to the Piskan village to spend the night at homestay. Distance: 8km, 6 hours
Day 4: Yaghnob Valley, Tajikistan
Piskan -Kiryonte Today we will head to the last village in the Yagnob Valley, approaching from the eastern side, which is inhabited by Tajiks. On the way, we will pass through a few interesting villages, some of them abandoned since the villagers were relocated by the Soviets to work on the cotton fields in the 1970s. In the late afternoon, we will reach Kirronte to spend the night, a peaceful village that is home to just three families. Distance: 9 km,
Day 5: Yaghnob Valley, Tajikistan to Dushanbe, Tajikistan
Kiryonte- Dushanbe After breakfast, we will follow the Yagnob river down to the road where our driver will be waiting to transfer us to Dushanbe. 11 km hike down
